VFDC launches petition to port Virtua Fighter 5: R on consoles

It is a known fact that all Virtua Fighter fans have been harping on about Virtua Fighter 5R since it was announced! Unfortunately, very few of them have actually been able to play it! Because so far it has only seen an Arcade release in Japan.

But Virtua Fighter fan site VFDC are looking to change this!
Hit the Jump to find out how you can help!
With out further ado, I’ll hand you over to VFDC for a better explanation!

Well known and respected VFer in Japan, Kamaage, was invited to meet with SEGA on the 28th January 2010. Leading up to this meeting, Kamaage approached VFDC  with an opportunity to express our desire to have Virtua Fighter 5R ported to console directly to SEGA. He suggested we put together a document that explained a little about VFDC along with personalised messages from players in the community. If the document could reach 100 or so pages, then surely SEGA would be impressed, or so Kamaage thought!

After his meeting, Kamaage informed us that while the document was impressive, it simply wasn’t enough. Kamaage now has another opportunity to pass our document to SEGA, but it must have more impact, at least 5x more!

The new target is 500 pages!

Replied to their thing. I'll be honest, I think we should wait till we get the "final tune" version, you know after they are going to move on to Virtua Fighter 6 and stop revisions?

  2. Emmett The Crab says:

Forgive my ignorance, but could this be done with DLC to VF5, or does it have to be it's own standalone game?

  3. George says:

Not on PS3. Let's be honest, will sell more in Japan if they did a retail.

  4. MadeManG74 says:

I agree with George about the Final Tuned thing, but I think that the most recent version to be unveiled at AOU is the equivalent of VF5 Final Tuned.

  5. Supa says:

Where do these people get their contacts?

  6. Aki-at says:

Lots of Virtua Fighter fans have been getting pretty touchy over Virtua Fighter 5R not on consoles to the point of wishing SEGA to go bankrupt.

    Really, it's hilarious.
