Yu Suzuki & Segata Sanshiro to fully unveil Shenmue City

The guys over at Sunsoft have scheduled a ‘proper unveiling’ for Shenmue City, the upcoming social game. The press conference will be at the UDX Theater in Akihabara, where people will be introduced tot he game. The event will be attended by Yu Suzuki, founder of YS.Net and main person behind the Shenmue series. Also invited to the event was Hiroshi Fujioka, who played Segata Sanshiro and for the Japanese version of Shenmue voiced Iwao Hazuki (Ryo’s father).

The higher ups at SEGA, Sunsoft and DeNA (the company that manages Mobagetown platform) will be at the event. Sadly its only for press, so some random fan can’t walk in and scream they want Shenmue 3 for a proper console.

The press conference will be on Monday, you can catch the live stream here from 15:30 to 17:15. Enjoy!

So I get on the internet to boast about finishing what is by far the best 3D Sonic game ever made. (Sonic Colours)

It is just a fantastic game through and through.

What do find? Not only Yu Suzuki talking about SHENMUE but Sega Segata too?

Yakuza with Zombies, Dreamcast games on XBLA Oh and Phantasy Star Online 2 was announced this year…

Somebody pinch me… Dude if Skies of Arcadia 2 is announced I’ll know I was hit by a car or something and now I’m in a happy happy coma

Of course only the press could see this event–if us mere mortals could witness such awesome on one stage there would be so many exploding heads that there'd be a minor epidemic.

  4. cube_b3 says:

well i'm watching it live Yu Suzuki looks really really old.

  5. cube_b3 says:

Although it isn't going so well, a little over 500 people are watching it.

  6. cube_b3 says:

    It is fairly boring.

  7. cube_b3 says:

Even the press is thin, I can see alot of empty seats.

  8. cube_b3 says:

Suzuki's gained weight and lost hair.

    I am taking screen shots.

  9. cube_b3 says:

That was such a waste of time for me and everyone involved at the event. What a stupid looking game. Sega should get their heads out of their asses and just make the final game. Or quit teasing us with this text adventure bullshit.

    @sharky

I second that whole comment. That is exaclty how i felt

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

I spent almost an hour watching something I didn't understand and didn't get to see anything interesting, the best part was Segata Sanshiro he was very well dressed and given that he is a dozen years old then Suzuki San, he looks amazingly strong and healthy.

Suzuki San wasn't dressed well, and not in his old school leather jacket kind of way.

He is only 52, and for Japanese people that is nothing. The last decade has been very rough on him.

I have screenshots of the conference.

SEGA isn't the one teasing you, heck they aren't even the publisher, it's SunSoft.

It's more like SEGA does not want to dump in the cash required for a series that has never made them a profit, even with being a million seller. In the end this is Yu Suzuki trying to generate interest in the series, if it happens it happens, but if it doesn't than what can you do, even his not sure if he can continue with the series.
