The second ‘battle report’ from Creative Assembly and Sega.
This battle pits Kieran Brigden as the Takeda forces against a computer AI controlled Hojo as it attempts to siege and take his castle. Ingimar Gudmunsson a battle AI programmer on Total War: Shogun 2 is also present to give us a better understanding of how the enemy AI thinks. The battle is set in a crisp snowy Japanese landscape.
I already know, I’ve just watched it.
One response to “Total War: Shogun 2 – Battle Report #2”
At least on the Melee front, the melee is still buggy as it was since Medieval 2, which is a shame since this is their first Melee game since Medieval 2, everyone in the video slides on the ground and people get blow away by sword strikes.
And whats the point of the castle walls when the Samurais scale them like Spiderman, I understand it might be sloppy, but that will just mean units can penetrate your castle from everywhere, without the need for siege equipment.
Other than that, everything else looks in good shape, though not improved… The A.I didn't look bad in that video, but then again, Kieran played horribly.
