SEGA responds to Streets of Rage Remake pull

“SEGA is committed to supporting any fans that take an interest in our games, and where possible we do so by involving them in Beta tests and other development, marketing or research opportunities,” explained the publisher. “However we need to protect our intellectual property rights and this may result in us requesting that our fans remove online imagery, videos or games in some instances.”

I guess it never occured to SEGA to protect their intellectual property when Bomber Games asked for permission to produce the Remake or when they allowed Secret Level to Remake Golden Axe.

After the Jump check out SEGA protecting their IP from a terrible reimaginig by Bottle Rocket.

Really really disappointing move by sega, they should have bought this up and released it for real instead

The game is no one near the quality of a commercial product.

The art direction is more imbalanced than Sonic 06.

I've looked around several gaming sites and this news has made it to most of them. Like I thought, people are being idiots and are saying how stupid SEGA is and how they can't make good games etc, etc.

  6. crackdude says:

    People are overrated.

  7. Sybnios says:

SEGA please stay True and spare us the crap!

  8. cube_b3 says:

The game is buggy and not anywhere near on par any of the official entries.

It isn't even a remake, it is more like SOR Recycle.

Although since we've played the old games to death this game is pretty amusing. I play it almost every day and enjoy it.
