Guardian Heroes port to be handled by Treasure

When Guardian Heroes was originally announced for XBLA, many were wondering who SEGA was going to contact to handle the porting duties. Some, like I, assumed that due to the fact that it was going to be an XBLA exclusive, that it would be handled by Treasure themselves. The first screenshot though had many wondering and believing that Backbone, a company that has enjoyed numerous porting duties from SEGA, had earned the job. However it has been revealed by Siliconera that Treasure themselves are working on the port, so those who wanted the original developer can rest assured that Treasure themselves have returned to port the SEGA Saturn classic title.

Thank god. I was about ready to cut myself after the incessant whining in that neoGAF thread.

Neogaf jumps the gun all the time. There are to many people on that forum trigger happy to find fault with anything Sega do and any little fault becomes high drama to the point that often it's so childish and tedious to read.

They were ready to write off one of the best beat'em'ups of all time and all the great new additions like online play and 15 player VS. went out of the window because of some silly filter… Needless to say I was pretty pissed about the filter but I was still bloody excited, it was day 1. Then again since I've seen it in action it looks fantastic with the filter on so what ever.

  3. I would have bought it if it was Backbone, too. This first Saturn game on XBLA is very promising for the future.

NeoGAF jumps the gone on everything.
