Swingin’ Report Show #13: Hippo Wipe

We have a blamtastic podcast for you this week. Me (George), -nSEGA- (Ben) and SEGA Source writer Sanus (Cory) go super off topic. We tip our hats to hippos and Capcom. We also talk about the manly Golden Axe franchise, new Sonic Generations information and much more. Listen, we don’t bite.

Dayum my mic audio sounds *so* much better than the other ones. 0_o. Definitely a step in the right direction.

A lot of sound issues in this episode, but I really liked the discussion overall. The hippo stuff was weird though, but man I really want a game where you use the Wii remote to swing their tail to slice up the poo now.

But damn, I sounded like a major weirdo on the topic of Golden Axe. I swear I do not use words like wonderful to describe stuff in real life!

Now that I fixed my Mic setup I think I can actually slightly lower my mic volume for next time, I think that'd perfect the sound on my end.

Edit; yeah some audio issues but there will always be, I think. Glad mine's improved though. :] Somewhat. Now I sound completely clear so I need to lower my volume.

That's too bad about Shadows of The Dammed. It has flaws, sure, but this is probably the most Suda has probably busted his ass off in promoting the game. He went like all over the world for this, but ah well.
His new game, Lollipop Chainsaw, looks fucking amazing, though: http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/07/21/lolli

The problem I think is that Suda 51 no longer directs his games himself, he oversees the projects while another guy directs them. Shadows of the Damned was directed by an ex-Ubisoft guy, for example. If you're a Suda fan I'd say go ahead and pick it up, just for the amazingly funny dialogue, but the gameplay gets pretty annoying, especially in the later chapters.I'd still recommend waiting for it to hit $40.

Excellent show guys! I loved your hearing you all discuss your thoughts on the Golden Axe series. And thank you very much for the shout out nSega, it made my day!

  6. Is this ever going to get an iTunes feed?
