Do you like what you see? then do head over and tell SEGA! http://www.facebook.com/sega.pso2

Tell your friends! The more we show interest in this game in the USA, the better the chance we will see it soon, plus better content. 🙂

Looking forward to playing with you all. 😀

Don’t worry, this WILL come West. I’m so sure of it I’d bet my left testicle on it. (the better of the two)

What I really want to know if is Sega West can keep the updates coming as fast as Sega East.

I’m really worried about that, SEGA US have an history of handling the online Phantasy Star games badly, as seen with PSO BB and PSU.
If there’s no english announcement by the time PSO2 is released on Japan, I think I’ll just play in the Japanese servers.

I’m less confident now that I know its Free-to-Play. F2P games seem to have a tough time crossing the Pacific in a timely manner – for example, SD Gundam Capsule Fighters took 5 years to see a US release.

Part of it is just that in order to make a F2P service look marketable, you need to have data that says “this service generated this much revenue in a market of this size over this time period” and in order to do that, the game needs to be up and running for a while – at LEAST a year.

Don’t get me wrong: I want it here too, but I also think that investing in some Japanese lessons might be a more realistic approach.

Did anybody else notice the XBOX-style X and Y buttons on some of these screenshots?

    • ezodagrom says:

That’s because the PC supports the XBox 360 controller, which is pretty much the current standard when it comes to PC controllers.
In the alpha 2 there was options for keyboard+mouse buttons in the UI, XBox 360 controller buttons, PS3 controller buttons and numbered buttons (for older controllers like the logitech rumblepad).
