Rhythm Thief not cancelled! Demo arriving this summer
Though it was only given a brief mention at Nintendo’s 3DS-specific E3 press conference, it serves as confirmation that SEGA’s Rhythm Thief is indeed still going to see release in North America. A demo will be released this summer, which hopefully indicates a release date in the very near future.
The well-received rhythm game is already available in Europe and Japan.

Ruby confirmed Rhythm Thief wasn’t cancelled a long time ago
The game was well recieved? How? What are the sales figures like so far?
I thought people were saying over a month ago that it did rubbish? And that was the reason SEGA held the game back in the States.
Good to know since I preordered it earlier today.
“The game was well recieved? How? What are the sales figures like so far?”
By well-received I meant that those who played it enjoyed it.
The game was marketed by Nintendo in Europe and performed horribly, which is probably what has made SEGA so worried in releasing it in America.
It did around 80k in Japan though, which is pretty good for a new handheld IP I’d imagine.
Well, I like rhythm game (I’m working on one).
It’s too bad if this one is canceled.
80k are pretty good sales. But this type of game is more in the japaneese culture than in europe culture.
