Should of mentioned R-Tuned and SEGA Race TV instead of GRID. Since they are actually made by Sega.

  2. Ron says:

How the hell do you forget Rad Mobile? It was featured in Encino Man for God’s sake. ENCINO MAN!

  3. Barry the Nomad says:

Cool retrospective! Though as mentioned, far from complete.

Noted the 1988 Power Drift didn’t get a mention. It’s a game I always throw at Mario Kart fans who claim SEGA is simply copying Nintendo when it comes to kart racing games.

  4. I love that there’s one in 1968.

  5. Taggsta says:

    Great but not complete….power drift?

Infographics are intended to display concepts and information in its simplest form, this is more of a timeline. And why must OutRun be two words!

Now, you might think I was being negative. Far from it, good work so I’ll give this 7/10.

It is sad to see that the latest Sega racing game on the list isn’t even a Sega game (though some may take solace in the fact that it was made with SRS).

Cool stuff but what about Scud Race, Sega Race TV and others ?
Doesn’t deserve the name of “Complete History” at all.

Yeah radmobile deserves a mention…I actually have a stand up version of Turbo in my garage I’ve gotten pretty far and i don’t recall there being any hills. One day i want a four player daytona usa cabinet!

  10. Griff says:

yeah, as people sad, important waypoints missing.

Most important is F355 challenge by yu suzuki, with race data printer and 3 display cabinet. best arcade sim ever made.

and the beginning of the textbox for manx tt: of course it wasn’t the first with moving bikes. Hang-On already had those…

  11. RT says:

Rad Mobile is actually my favorite Sega racing title. Sucks not seeing it here.

  12. X-Tornado says:

Great article but the lack of F355 Challenge is criminal!

  13. opetret says:

F1 Exhaust Note is also missing.
