Nine returning characters have been announced for the upcoming Yakuza Ishin. The list so far includes popular characters like Ryuji Goda, Akira Nishiki and Date. But who are they playing in this game? If you haven’t read, the game will take old characters from the Yakuza universe and plant them as characters during the bakumatsu period in Japan.

- Akira Nishiki as Okada Izo – voiced by Kazuhiro Nakaya
- Ryuji Goda as Saigo Kichinosuke – voiced by Masami Iwasaki
- Date as Nakaoka Shintarou played by Yamaji Kazuhiro
- Kage as “mysterious informant” played by Yoshiaki Fujiwara
- Hiroshi Hayashi as Takeda Kanryusai – voiced by Shun Sugata
- Yahata as Tani Sanjuurou (captain of the 7th Shinsengumi unit) played by Kenji Hamada
- Masaru Watase playing Sasaki Tadasaburo voiced by Rintaro Nishi a member of the Kyoto Mimawarigumi
- Yuu Morinaga playing Matsubara Chuji voiced by Hiroki Touchi captain of the 4th Shinsengumi unit
- Ogita Kan playing Suzuki Mikisaburo voiced by Ryota Takeuchi captain of the 9th Shinsengumi unit
I hope the U.S. will get this new Yakuza on PS 4. i finished both 3 and 4, kind of disappointed that sega doesn’t think we like the series enough to bring the HD Collection and Yakuza 5 to America. Do we have to beg Sony to publish the games for us?
