Bayonetta, Rodin, and Jeanne to cameo in The Wonderful 101

For the first time, to my knowledge, we’re covering The Wonderful 101 news by way of the reveal that Bayonetta characters Bayonetta, Rodin, and Jeanne have been announced to cameo in the Platinum Games developed and Nintendo published game. Hideki Kamiya, director of Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101, made the announcement at PAX today. What is interesting about this announcement is that this is the first time fully owned SEGA characters from Platinum Games have appeared in a game fully owned by Nintendo. So it’s sort of a SEGA, Nintendo, Platinum Games crossover. No further details have been revealed, thus explaining why I’ve been stretching this little bit of news out to a paragraph length.

And just Like that I get spoiled to the Special Characters….
    Thanks :/

Well, when Kamiya publicly announces it, and several sites including siliconera, it isn’t really a secret unless you straight up don’t pay attention to any game news.

I was spoiled as well even before it was posted here. Kind of sucks, but understandable that you guys posted it since its out there anyway.

    • Thanks. I mean, the intention is never to spoil big things. Like, if the ending of a game leaked, we would totally not share it in a news story. If game footage appears, at most we say that there is new footage and leave it up to the reader to view it and read the article.

With this, I figured it’s already out there and it doesn’t spoil the plot at all.

I wouldn’t really call it a spoiler, it’s something that Sega fans will likely want to know.

Anyway. The demo confused the hell out of me, to be honest. I wish the game wasn’t so complicated. I still hope to get to play it though and give it a chance, as it looks really cool.

    well gee thanks.

Sega is being extremely liberal with an IP they own.
I would guess SOJ really feels bad about how SW handled Anarchy Reigns.

Would’ve been nice if Sega was this liberal with Rez and Panzer Dragoon.
