Atlus opens up a teaser site for a new game

Untitled
Seems that Atlus isn’t done announcing new titles, they have just opened a teaser site for a new game. The pages title says: “This is not broccoli #ATLUS.” So what could it be?

Lots of people seem to think that this is going to be a new entry to the long running Etrian Odyssey franchise. After the jump we have some assets ripped from the teaser page.

Here are a few random images:

Here is what the whole tree in the teaser looks like:

I have played the first Etrian Odyssey and I can see this teaser leading up to a new one, especially seeing that tree.

Could this be the start of a trend? Atlus revealing more new games itself as a division of Sega rather than the actual Sega itself? lol. Atlus pretty much represented Sega at E3 this year, with the exception of Sonic as usual, fans were fearing Atlus might lose itself as part of Sega, but it seems it could just as easily happen the other way around too as well though, with Sega just becoming a publishing empire that is represented by the style of every other company it owns other than their own style.
Mergers rarely ever turn out well, as Asure with SNK, Bandai with Namco, Square with Enix, Sammy with Sega and now Sega with Atlus and whoever invests in Capcoms shares (if it becomes a merger) ect ect, as it stunts individuality into a meaningless collectivist bundled up single entity, killing diversity, most things are better as individualist rather than collectivist as history has proven.

      There’s also Tecmo with Koei.

Probably even more, there were a lot of mergers last gen.

Whatever. Go drive in your individually designed and built car down your individually paved and maintained roads, bro

    • Damon says:

You misunderstand as well as miss the point, that would be like every videogame company operating within their own industry, not different individual companies working in the ‘same’ industry, so it wouldn’t be Individualism over Collectivism, it would be individualism outside the system.

    • Centrale says:

I’m not sure what you’re getting at, but Sega itself has always been a collective of smaller teams. So to define them as an individual entity prior to merger with Sammy and prior to acquisition of Atlus (very different actions) is already a false characterization.
