Atlus announces remake of Etrian Odyssey II coming to 3DS

If you remember the teaser site Atlus launched a few months ago with the giant tree? It was actually for a Etrian Odyssey game, specifically the remake of the second in the series. The 3DS remake will be titled, ‘Etrian Odyssey II Untold: The Knight of the Fafnir‘. Hit the jump to look at the characters and first trailer on the old-new game.

Above is the first trailer for the upcoming DS to 3DS ‘remake’ showing off the game’s setting and five main characters, including some dungeon crawling footage.

I guess the original game didn’t feature pre-made characters, but since the first Untold remake featured pre-made characters this one will as well. Check out the five main characters below:

Doesn’t Bertrand, one of the main characters shown above look like Ira Gamagori from Kill la Kill?

KillLaKill

Since the first Etrian Odyssey Untold game got a Western release, its only a matter of time for this next remake to get one as well. Best thing about these game is that long time SEGA composer Yuzo Koshiro did the music (Streets of Rage fame).

It usually takes half a year for the EO games to make it across the ocean after it’s out in Japan, so I’ll be looking forward to this.
