SEGA and Atlus talk Nintendo Switch support

SEGAATLUSNINTENDOSWITCHWhile we only have one SEGA title announced for the upcoming Nintendo Switch console/handheld hybrid entertainment system, it seems SEGA might have more games up their sleeves. Both SEGA and Atlus talk Nintendo Switch support earlier today.

SEGA had this to say:

“SEGA and Nintendo have been great partners over the years, and we continue to with our support of the Nintendo Switch. We look forward to revealing specific game plans soon, but have nothing further to announce at this time.”

While Atlus, who also announced support a few days ago when the console was first revealed said:

“We’re excited to be supporting the Nintendo Switch and believe the games we publish are a perfect fit for the portable nature of the console.”

While its not surprising seeing SEGA and Atlus talk Nintendo Switch support considering both publishers have supported Nintendo hardware over the past 10 years, Atlus really pused some amazing JRPGs on the Nintendo 3DS handheld. Seems that they are obviously excited to continue that relationship.

What SEGA and Atlus franchises would you like to see on the Nintendo Switch? Does the new console have you excited?

    pused = pushed

    Does the new console have you excited? Well, it depends on the price.

    Not particularly exciting, but I do like the interesting nature of it being able to become a handheld as well as a full console but as a handheld itself it doesn’t seem to be very pocket friendly, probably best kept in indoor areas like houses or cars.

    The games are what is really important and for 1st party Nintendo titles – it’ll obviously be a must for Nintendo fans as its the only way to access the but for third party titles – it could still end up being a repeat of the Wii and Wii U – underpowered versions with missing features if they do come out at all, still it’s early days.

    I actually am excited for the Switch. The price will determine when I’ll buy one rather than if.

    It does worry me a little that it will be under-powered compared to the other current gen systems (and that it’s a Tegra chip set), but then again, since the Wii, I buy a Nintendo system for Nintendo published games and other unique exclusives. I’ll have a new PC and eventually (likely) a PS4 to play everything else on console wise.

    Either way, good to see SEGA and Atlus behind the Switch so early. Obviously, SEGA backed both the Wii and WiiU nicely, but Atlus obviously didn’t. Maybe the Switch will get something like a Persona.

    Hmmmm, so so for me, feels like the Wii U again, like a natural next step progression from the Wii U.

    Nintendo hasn’t made the specs official yet, but Nintendo is the only one using Nvidia tech this time around, which gives some clue, it will be underpowered by comparison sure, but maybe not as much of a gap as before.

    250 euro plus game is buy. Anything above i’ll pass.

    Why?

    Cause i bought wii u. I have a personal opinion that they need to reprove themselve and give a hand to us instead of the other way around.
