From the Nintendo Switch Presentation, different titles were shown off for the upcoming system, including Super Mario Odyssey, Arms, Splatoon 2, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. However in the middle of a montage highlighting different titles, Puyo Puyo Tetris was briefly shown as among the titles. Soon enough, SEGA themselves would confirm the game is indeed coming to Switch, titled Puyo Puyo Tetris S. It’s also implied that the game is getting a localization based on it’s presence in the presentation, which would tie to a previous report about Puyo Puyo Tetris trophies appearing in English on PSN.

[UPDATE] It is now officially confirmed Puyo Puyo Tetris is going to be localized for the Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

[UPDATE 2] We have a trailer! Check it out after the break!

The Nintendo Switch itself is launching on March 3rd, 2017 for the retail price of $299.99.

Why they change the 3DS into Switch?
I guess Fire & Ice’s sales isn’t that good so that they decided they’re done with 3DS and go with Switch instead.

I read this is only getting a physical release, citing, possibly, licensing. It really sucks they aren’t releasing the Vita version over here. I much rather play this type of puzzle game on the go, or on a handheld in general.

    Good news for PS4 owners!

Why no Xbox One port? On the one hand, I already imported it and it’s not a difficult game to play without English. On the other hand, Tetris performs well on Xbox and I’m sure there’s some Sega fans that would enjoy it. Regardless, doesn’t seem like it’d be much trouble.
