What you classic guy’s forgot to mention another eastern egg. (Maybe the bonus stages are making a return) as classic sonic.

A bit miffed that they decide to revisit Green Hill again when some later opening levels were familiar but still had plenty of distinguishing features. What really brings down the hype for Classic Sonic in Forces are the booster and spring in places where they make the game too easy and automated probably to compensate for the lack of accurate physics, except even in Generations they didn’t put them in as many redundant places. I’m not really enjoying the sand aesthetic which they don’t play around with in this act and the music I’ve heard is said to be unfinished which I hope is the case. Maybe the other characters and the rest of the game in general will be more polished in time for its final release.
