Streets of Rage 4 gets new screenshots and gameplay gif

DotEmu has released some new Streets of Rage 4 screenshots, one including a gameplay gif showing off the game’s new juggling mechanic. You can view that up on top in video format.

Below we have a few new screenshots showing off more of Streets of Rage 4’s art style. So far the screenshots don’t show anything brand new, still only includes Axel and Blaze. I guess we will see more announcements come 2019.

yeah ok, I’m a believer now. Now ALL they have to do is get the music right.

Is IT me or is the gameplay really slow?

The gameplay seems good to me from that brief glimpse, the juggling in particular.

I still feel like this is more of a case of an artist shoehorning the source material into their own style rather than a real re-imagining. The first felt like an American action film from the 80’s, the second had a bit more of an anime flair, and the third felt like a balance between the two. The European comic book-style illustration they’re going with here is kind of jarring for me and I don’t think it really meshes with the assets they’re using from the originals, but the new artwork itself – taken for what it is – is excellent.

U r talking belony. Old series are music wise european. That stuff was underground in your country. Also the environment was both europe and american alike. Anime? Didnt notice jack. Its just sor123 changing by time for the better.

However sor4 leaves me overly sceptic. And still no preorders. We gonna die waiting just like with shenmue 3. Yu suzuki is on his chateau meanwhile

The movement looks similar to the originals. I’m not worried at all. This game is gonna be all the rage!

I dont like the juggle. I dont like the environment. And i fear dlc practice. Also i certainly dont like the music

  7. Elly says:

Nah i think i going to pass on this one, instead i Will buy Project Y from Watermelon.

Please tell me you’re joking. Watermelon delivering the game at this stage seems as likely as us getting a remake of Sonic Adventure.
