Good work but a little mistake.
The first panzer dragoon was One of the most impressive game of the Saturn. The second is in the top 3 of the graphics.(like Orta for the X Box).

The remake some changes in the art direction (too much elements on the screen. The OG first level was pure with beautiful reflections)

I wouldn’t be rude with the new team since Futatsugi didn’t show a better direction with Crimson Dragon.

Some people say the key would be Takashi Iwade, the art director of Panzer Dragoon Orta.
    I cannot agree more.

If Sega wants bringing back Saga or Orta, he needs to be part of the projects.

You guys raised a point I hadn’t considered about Sega outsourcing all of their classic IPs to different developers. Daytona Championship USA, Streets of Rage 4, Panzer Dragoon Remake, even the ports for Shenmue I&II. It makes me wonder if Sega of Japan would rather focus on things like the Yakuza series, and/or they feel that their IPs that were more popular outside of Japan might be in better hands in people of those regions, similar to the reason Nintendo went to Retro for the Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Personally, I think the Switch exclusivity is a time-limited thing, but they can’t say anything just yet. I’m just wondering why Sega themselves made a big deal of the previous games I mentioned, but put all of their focus on Judgment and Sonic at E3 while saying very little of Panzer Dragoon, although the Forever Entertainment team is more than picking up the slack.

The art direction is a little different but if they retain the feel and spirit of the series, I’m really looking forward to this. Compare to what we got with Battletoads.

gameplay is intact at least. lot of lense flares tho.

Between the post-Dreamcast layoffs, people quitting after Sammy mismanagement, and employees simply getting older, there probably isn’t much interest in legacy IPs because the current Sega of Japan employees weren’t involved with them. No personal attachment. Old Sega employees handed down or are handing down Sonic, Yakuza, Valkyria Chronicles, Phantasy Star Online, and Sakura Wars amongst a small handful of other IPs, but unfortunately other franchises that belonged to now long-defunct studios aren’t so lucky for the most part. Color me surprised by Space Channel 5 VR, though.
