SEGA News Bits: New Sonic Animated Series in the Works?

A few days ago we ran a popular story where the Sonic Mania Adventures production manager posted that she was invited to SEGA and teased a new upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog animated project. Sonic the Hedgehog Social Media Manager Aaron Webber would then go on to deny the claim, but did he really? On this episode of the SEGA News Bits we look at the proof of a new Sonic animated show, what we think of Webber’s denial statements and of course what we hope for in a new Sonic the Hedgehog animation series. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

New Sonic the Hedgehog animated series in the works!

A member of The Sonic Stadium community has spotted an Instagram post from the Sonic Mania Adventures production manager in which she is visiting SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog offices. The photos are accompanied by the text: “Gotta go fast, gotta make it last—finally swung around the SEGA office as we’re working on another fun series with the blue hedgehog y’all are gonna love it! #Sonic #SonicTheHedgehog #Animation #Work #SEGA #Knuckles #Tails #Amy”.

Not much else is known, but the Sonic Mania Adventures credit is a good sign and the hashtags do name drop Amy who was absent in the recent 2D YouTube shorts. What sort of animated show would you like to see? Sound off in the comments below!

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 – Flipbook Animation is Awesome!

Check out this really cool Sonic the Hedgehog 3 flipbook animation. I have some serious admiration for anyone that has the patience to make such a long and detailed flipbook.

I remember getting flip books like this in cereal back in the 90’s, I gave it a go and made a very primitive flip book of an alien space ship flying though clouds… It was bad to say the least!
