The Internet Archive is an awesome resource. It allows us to dig up old websites so we can laugh at what passed for web design in 1997, and now it allows us to relive classic PC games through emulation! With a library of over 2,000 MS-DOS titles to play, you can bet some SEGA games are in the mix. Notable titles include Turbo OutRun, Zaxxon, and Congo Bongo. You can find all the SEGA developed games and games that appeared on SEGA hardware in addition to MS-DOS at this handy link.

Did you find a title in the archive that you especially enjoyed? Let us know what you enjoyed playing in the comments below!

Senile Team releases a free Dreamcast game called Polyko, play it today!

Senile Team, the folks behind Rush Rush Rally Racing, have ported an indie game by the super long name of “Polyko’s Super Jelly Bean Quest in The Sketchbook of Illusion” to the Dreamcast. How much does it cost? Nothing, it’s free! Where can you get it? Right here! The game is a simple platformer starring an artist named Polyko who has been magically transported into his sketchbook. The goal is to collect 31 jelly beans. There is no way to die, so no fear of falling into an abyss or having your head ripped off by a zombie. You can play the full game online here, or better yet burn it to a disc and play it on your Dreamcast. The cd image even contains printable covers, so it’ll fit in on your indie Dreamcast games shelf. Enjoy!

Pretend you won a contest and download All-Stars Racing iOS for free

To celebrate Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed’s E3 appearance, and perhaps today’s mystery announcement, SEGA has temporarily marked the iOS version of Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing down to free. If you have an iOS device, or you just have an App Store account, you can download the game for free right now. I highly recommend it, as it is the best racer on the iOS platform in my opinion. And like I said, even if you don’t have an iOS device, download it now and the free download will forever be linked to your account, assuring you a free download whenever you get an iOS device.

Giveaway: Win an Alpha Protocol iPod Touch

With the help of SEGA, we will be giving away one Alpha Protocol iPod Touch (pictured above) to a lucky winner. To enter the contest all you have to do is design a spy gadget or weapon. You don’t have to be ‘artistically talented’ to enter, just pop open your Microsoft Paint and be creative. When you are done with your gadget/weapon image, upload it, send us (header: AP Gadget) the image link with a small description of your gadget.

Contest open world wide. Contest ends on Monday, May 31st; the day before Alpha Protocol hits store shelves.

The Resonance of Fate winner is…

So it is time to announce the winner for the Resonance of Fate giveaway, the winner is… Joseph Carter. Funny thing, he is one of the few people to actually get the comparison right. If you didn’t know, there were 4 things wrong with the photo.

  • Sonic Team logo in the left, top corner. (you did not have to say it was a Sonic Team logo. Just that there was something)
  • Leanne ‘s flower is missing in the doctored shot.
  • Leanne’s necklace is missing in the doctored shot.
  • One of Zephyr’s buttons is missing from his coat.

The items will be shipped out tomorrow (this includes the Valkyria Chronicles ones as well). Talking about tomorrow, we will also have a BIG prize to give away. Details posted tomorrow.

Project Diva 2nd pre-order item

SEGA has just released details on Hatsune Miku: Project Diva 2nd’s pre-order item. Can you see it? Its right there on top! The bonus is a mini Nendoroid Plus figure. This is the final retail look of the pre-order item.

The official name given by SEGA for the 3cm figure is Nendoroid Plus Hatsune Miku Project Diva Bonus Version. It is made with the help of Good Smile Company.

If you are going to import the game, remeber that it comes out on July 29th and be released in a standard and limited edition. Limited edition comes with its own PSP. Wow.

Pre-order Alpha Protocol at GameStop, get exclusive guns

This seems to be standard practice now for GameStop, having you pre-order games and getting extras. Now they will do with Alpha Protocol.

If you pre-order the game at your local GameStop, you will get the two exclusive guns pictured above. That is not all, you will also get two modified weapons; called Hamilton Howitzer and Samael Rapid-Fire Rifle. Those are not exclusive, I guess the modifications will be given out with pre-orders with other retailers.

Alpha Protocol is set to be released in the end of May, on Xbox 360, PC and Playstation 3.
