Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology demo hits 3DS, DLC schedule revealed

Atlus has been on a roll promoting the upcoming remake of Radiant Historia, which was originally released on the Nintendo DS back in 2010. Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology is set to offer the original game story with a ton of extra modes. Above you see the unboxing of the Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology launch edition.

But we also got a demo for the game, out now in the e-shop. The demo lets you play the start of the story and will even let you transfer saves to the full game if you pre-ordered. No reason not to give the title a shot. The 3DS e-shop is also offering a free Radiant Historia theme, for those that want to further ‘Radiant Historia-pimp out’ their 3DS. After the jump we will detail the DLC schedule for the game.

It seems we now know that Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology Japanese Limited Edition exists, thanks to Amazon Japan for posting the product early. As you can see, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology Japanese Limited Edition is a rather big package. So what comes in the Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology Japanese Limited Edition?

  • A copy of the game
  • Special-make box
  • Two-disc Complete CD set – Includes the music of the DS original and the new music of the 3DS remake
  • 100-page, full color Special Art Book
  • Complimentary Downloadable Content Pack – A preliminary pack including five items that you can download on release date

The Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology Japanese Limited Edition costs 9,800 yen ($88 USD), which is rather pricey for a Nintendo 3DS game. But if you are picking up the first print copies of the game, it will come with a ‘Character Deformation Pack’ DLC content, which changes the illustrations of the 10 main characters into chibi versions drawn by CHANxCO. The Amazon product page also details the game’s story, which you can read after the jump.

Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology first screenshots released

radiant-historia-perfect-chronologyAtlus announced that it was remaking their Nintendo DS JRPG classic for the Nintendo 3DS under the title Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology. While fans where hoping for a brand new entry, its nice to see that more people get to enjoy the Nintendo DS classic from 2010. As you can see below in the screenshots, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology is a full remake having new visuals, game systems and even more added content over the Nintendo DS original. It even has voiced audio and a new character named Nemesia.

While the game has ‘Standard History’ and ‘Alternative History’ (Trump, please understand) modes, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology also adds ‘Sub-History’ which takes on a completely new story route. As for what Sub-History mode is, we will find out at a later date. Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology is coming out in Japan on June 29, 2017 only on the Nintendo 3DS. No Western release dates have been announced, but we will keep you posted. But its interesting, considering that Atlus also hasn’t announced a Western release date for Etrian Odyssey V, which came out last August in Japan.  What is your opinion on this remake?
