Persona 4: Dancing All Night announced for Playstation Vita

Atlus announced a bunch of new Persona games today, one of which is a game funky student would be proud of called Persona 4: Dancing All Night. This game is developed by Dingo, a developer known for the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva games for PSP.

This game will be coming out exclusively for Playtation Vita sometime in 2014 in Japan.

A look at SEGA’s Hero Bank promotional items, including branded toilet paper

ペーパー1

Hero Bank is the latest project by Yakuza Team head Toshihiro Nagoshi (Yakuza, Super Monkey Ball), a 3DS RPG. Above is toilet paper that SEGA will be giving out as part of a swag bag at the ‘Next Generation World Hobby Fair’. Yes, toilet paper, what a way to set expectations for your upcoming game by giving people paper to wipe their ass.

The package also comes with a poster, stickers, Yen notepad, and a handy bag. Check out the photos below.

Live from the SEGA E3 Booth

Hi guys, I’m writing this from the SEGA booth right now. Nothing too newsworthy, but I thought I’d give you guys an update on what’s going down.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is playable for the first time without having to wait in a massive line. It’s still multiplayer only, and I can still only play marines, but you can bet it’ll be written about here.

Joe Musashi is playable in the ASR demo as well, and we also have Jet Set Radio lanyards!

Finally, someone from the Monkey Ball team is at the booth, and it’s not Toshihiro Nagoshi. Does the name Jun Tokuhara ring any bells? He’s been with the series since the beginning, and he is here now for the Vita entry.

Sonic Boom shirt and button winners are…

[This is what the post would have been like in the early ’90s]

We have now picked three winners for our Sonic Boom shirts and buttons contest, which actually went online the day of Sonic’s 20th birthday. Isn’t that a neat fact. So who won?

  1. Jermaine Taris (boondocksamurai)

  3. Bex

If you won, contact us with the subject line “Sonic Boom shirt & buttons winner”. Specify if you want the merchandise signed, the size of shirt desired, and your mailing address. Winners have a week to get their information to us. If not, we will give away the prizes to someone else who entered.

Sonic Boom t-shirt and buttons giveaway

Celebrating Sonic’s birthday? We are too, by giving away some Sonic Boom swag for those of you that didn’t make it to the event. Here’s what we have to give away:

  • 3 Sonic Boom shirts
  • 3 Sonic Generations buttons
(Winner gets one of each item. Contest open worldwide. Shirt sizes available: S, M, L, XL. Contest closes on Wednesday.)

How do you enter? We want to hear your Sonic story. Tell us how you were introduced to the blue blur and what made you fall in love with the franchise. You can send your e-mails here. Also, make the email subject “Sonic 20th anniversary contest.”

The SOA staff said they are willing to sign the swag. If you win, whether you want your swag signed will be up to you. Thanks to all the SOA people for supporting this site and contest by giving fans sweet swag. We love it.

Japanese Sonic 20th Anniversary swag is awesome

Here are some of the plushies, chocolates and other items Japanese consumers will be able to grab up this year to celebrate Sonic’s 20th birthday.

If you hit the source there are other food-related items and a shirt. Everyone likes shirts, right?

Want to donate to Japan relief and get some cool SEGA swag?

Well, you still can. It looks like SEGA Of America is about done auctioning off their items, having raised thousands of dollars by selling rare merchandise on eBay the past couple of weeks.

Well, they still have a few items up. If you’re into cosplay, two Valkyria Chronicles uniforms are up for grabs, as well as some Aliens Vs. Predator games, a rare Sonic & Tails 1992 SEGA watch, and more.

Get them while you still can, and help out a truly noble cause.

Sonic Colours Limited Edition comes with toys

OK, so we here in the US we get a Sonic scalp if pre-order. The  lucky sons of Britain get a Limited Edition version with action figures? Why, SEGA why?! Actually seems that the Limited Edition packaging will be coming out for Pal buyers, not just the UK.

Well, maybe I can send like 34 whiny letters to SEGA Europe’s community team, want to see them sort through that! The game comes out November, got your pre-orders in?

SEGA 16-bit console war dog tags

SEGA used “Pirate TV” as a advertising campaign for the SEGA Mega Drive (US: Genesis) in Britain. The dog tag above was given to a UKR reader by SEGA during a event to try out the Mega CD  and Sonic 2.

This is where I talk about how in my day, console wars where fought on the playground, not behind a computers.  You get the idea.
