Udon publishing ‘The Eyes of Bayonetta 2’ art book in the West this fall

Udon Entertainment is set to release ‘The Eyes of Bayonetta 2‘ art book in the West this upcoming November 20, 2018. Udon is mostly known for its work on the Street Fighter comic book series and even going as far as doing the HD sprites for the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix re-re-re-re-(infinite amount of re)-release. But they’ve also released a ton of vide game art books for IPs such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Persona, Mega Man, Dark Souls, Border Break, Shining series, Valkyria Chronicles, and even the first ‘The Eyes of Bayonetta’ book!

Update: Interview has been completed. Thanks for your contributions!

SEGA fan and Segalization contributor SuperSonicEX captured an amazing opportunity for a Q&A with UDON Entertainment! UDON Entertainment is responsible for, among other things: translation and publishing of the three Valkyria Chronicles art books, the History of Sonic the Hedgehog, and the Eyes of Bayonetta, alongside various Hatsune Miku and Vocaloid media.

We currently plan to send in our questions sometime this Wednesday, March 26th, but Segalization would like to give SEGA fans a chance to send in questions of their own for UDON to answer! For anyone interested in submitting a question, hit the jump to see the currently planned questions (so as to avoid overlap) and additional notes on how Segalization will handle any submitted questions.

Valkyria Chronicles 3 Fan Translation Makes First Release

valkyria3e20015

Christmas came…on time apparently. The group behind the fan translation of Valkyria Chronicles 3 has put out their first release on Christmas day. Its not complete, but at least about 90% done. It is only compatible with the Extra Edition that can also be patched with a copy purchased and downloaded from the Japanese store. Further instructions and the patch itself can be obtained from their website.

The release has gone off to a slightly rocky start due to some ISO patching issues which have since been fixed, but congratulations to the team for keeping the project going for it’s dedicated fan base.

UDON to Release Art Book for Japan-Only Border Break Series in the States

bits_borderBreak

Ever heard of Border Break? If you’ve kept up with SEGA’s arcade games, you’ll know its a multiplayer class based shooter centered around mechas and online play. We may not be seeing a release of the game outside of Japan anytime soon, but thats not stopping UDON Entertainment which has announced during San Diego Comic Con on Friday that they’re releasing an artbook stateside based on the entire series as part of their recently acquired licenses including Ys, Devil May Cry, and more. The last time UDON brought over an artbook for a Japan-only SEGA title was for Valkyria Chronicles 3, which had already been established outside of Japan.
