The mystery game Sega has been teasing has been revealed to be called Demon Tribe, described as an action game where you turn into a demon and fight off other demons.
The real mystery is the platform, rumors suggesting to be from the site itself indicates it is Wii U and PSV and PSP because of the source codes on the site, officially Sega isn't saying anything about the platform. All indications so far points to a mobile platform.
But if its true that this is Wii U bound and going on mobile formats then the obvious questions will be asked on why did Sega decide to publish this title as a multiplaformer and bypass Bayonetta 2 to Nintendo which is a proven commodity especially since they both deal in the same style of genre.

Thanks for the tip! News'd it.
Really hope this hits a platform I own, and that it comes West. The fact that Jet Set Radio talent behind it is exciting stuff.

Hey no problem, Nomad, glad to be of some sort of service. :)
only a couple of days away from TGS is their some type of Segabits special coverage going to happen?
-
they showed it on SEGA APPS TGS stream
it didn't look very impressive from what they showed off, then again, they didn't really show anything, just zoomed through a bunch of low quality video and screens, looked like a GBA game
@ROJM we don't have anyone or know anyone at TGS, so probably not.

I wonder if that partnership with ATLUS is paying off...
Atlus are well known for the SMT series so I wonder if SEGA's had some inspiration from them to make one of their own?
As for the platform...it's a shame if it's on mobile devices....since no one in the west plays those types of games on there.
They should at least try to put it on the 3DS and PS3/360 if they want to make some money from it.

And here it is... Demon Tribe

What the hell, this looks like a real game, I thought it was some smartphone doobie. Well now I'm actually half-interested!
-
It was announced only for iOS by famitsu yesterday. I'll go find the link, Aki-at showed it to me.
-
It was a little hard to make out the specifics of the gameplay itself, but this seems Samurai Bloodshow-esque.

On the plus side it at least LOOKS like an iOS game with a bit of effort... If that's any consolation... But I'm sure it isn't BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I'm more inclined to believe Platinum Games wouldn't develop for Sega again.

Yeah not any time soon anyway, but never say never.

Fragmenting the screen into a million tiny pieces is a great way to hide the crappy iOS graphics.
