No, it was belong to my friend, a collector.
And I was already a college student when I tried it so may be it felt cringey.
May be I would enjoy it if I have chance to try it when I was a kid.

True. Though I guess it depends on circumstances like... if you had more than one set of Lock-Ons, and depends how well the recievers work... in which at that point you might as well play paintball or online shooting games.

May be and also time has always changed the way we see things.
Some things probably were cool by the time they're released,
but they'll become obsolette when newer technology hit them like pager, faximile, and trackball.

Yeah even I still don't get pagers.

Like, what are they, mobile phone that only do text messages?

Not for eveyone I guess, but it's kinda popular for doctors and nurses back then (reminder of meeting or operation schedulle, sometimes they are in a room that forbid telephones) ... and for rich kids who got "pick up" schedulle message from his driver.

Ooh yeah. They would be practical for receiving texts and messages without the need of phones.

New Super Mario Movie Commercial Features Sonic the Hedgehog Easter Eggs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pu57M7cjSD4

Quote
Eagle-eyed viewers may have caught references to Paramount's Sonic the Hedgehog films, as well!
In the commercial, Mario and Luigi's work van can be seen driving across a map starting from Brooklyn. As they drive, several locations can be seen, including "Red Hill" and "Mushroom Planet."
Mushroom Planet is a clear reference to the planet Dr. Robotnik is stranded on at the end of the first Sonic the Hedgehog, while Red Hill would seem to be a Mario reference to Sonic's home in Green Hills.
