To be honest I'm just over the moon to see a series which was all but dead less that a week ago suddenly spring back to life in such a big way... Very Happy right now.
SEGA Japan opens a Valkyria portal site:

SEGA Japan also opens a new Valkyria Twitter: (if you're on twitter show your support!)

Hmmm...they always do that. Like for Hero Bank, but that didn't make sense. Valkyria has the chance to become decently big.
Personally, I think they should drop Shining...the buzz around Valkyria is so much bigger, in Japan and worldwide.

This is pretty standard with Japanese productions I feel. Like everything these days are called "Project X" and comes with a twitter account.
Besides its not like the series (Or most SEGA Japan IPs) arent supported with a media blitz. Remember the tie in mangas, anime etc with the original?

Yeah I get that it's fairly common, but I'm just quite happy to see VC which was all but dead now getting so much attention.

It was never dead in Japan, where it matters to Sega.

We can put that down to another bad decision by SoJ. I bet the success of the PC port was what made them turn around.

10 years later, they make a site for Valkyria Chronicles.
Sega. Always at the vanguard of marketing!

So your implying that just because its rerelease on Steam did well, it has a future?
