I mean from the Sega gaming systems. Not from any modern game.
-
Shining Force III, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Vectorman, Comix Zone.

I've been playing all or most of the shining games in sequence. I'm on Shining CD right now. I'm dreading getting to Shining Force 3 because I've played through it before and I know I will want to continue on to scenarios 2 and 3. Anyway, remaking that with localization of all three parts would be amazing. Or a Shining Force collection with 1,2, CD and all of 3 would be better. I'm also dreading playing the PS2 games, and When I tried Shining Wisdom I didn't like it much.

Shining Ark is on the Playstation Portable, so they are still continuing the series. I'm not sure if I have ever played the third game. Have they remade the first two yet?
-
The first one was remade on the GBA as "Shining Force Rise of the Dark Dragon"
-
Phantasy Star IV, Eternal Champions, GunValkyrie (does that count as modern? It started on DC).
-
i would love comix zone
-
Panzer Dragoon Saga (Unless they outsource it to a B-tier studio)
-
I'd love to see Streets of Rage. Have it be a 3D side-scroller, similar to how Street Fighter IV managed to maintain its 2D look and feel in three-dimensional space. That would be cool, I think.
Panzer Dragoon would be fantastic. Maybe have it be an action/RPG this time with an open world environment. I so wanna' see that game.

I like to see SEGA remake ...
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Deep Fear
Power Drift
Sega Rally II (DC version)

I think Deep Fear needs a remake and a sequel to boot.

Deep Fear would be awesome....so long as they get better voice actors this time around. LOL! I reviewed the Japanese version last year. I'm totally game for a sequel.

I would like to see Comix Zone myself. I never had heard of Deep Fear until I read this. It's probably a fun game. I think I might buy it.

I have a list of games that are pretty much obvious, however, I do have a different list of games that I think SEGA should remake/port because it might seem feasible.
Here's one of them:
Shining Force: Return of Dark Dragon - It's already a good remake of the first Shining Force on GBA. Port it to Android and iOS devices. It's a slam dunk.
I think THQ had distribution dibs on this game, but since they went broke, I'm sure SEGA can scrounge up whatever's left of that.
-
A full 3D remake of Space Harrier could be pretty cool.
-
I still kind of wish there'd be a new Skies of Arcadia that'd be more action oriented. I really like the characters and the universe, but I just don't really have the time or patience to go through it as an RPG.
-
Yeah, I agree. Even when it came out I thought the battles where too frequent and not that engaging. Ship battles I liked tho, but they sometimes took too long.
-
Burning Rangers would benefit greatly from a remake. The game already plays and sounds great, but updated visuals and more stages to would really give it the needed boost. Also can you imagine this game with cooperative multiplayer?!
I second the GunValkyrie suggestion. Brilliant game, brought down by tough, non-customizable controls. Also, add cooperative multiplayer.
Another game I'd like remade would be a full 3d, coop tps/fps, Gunstar Heroes.
-
Ristar, Ranger X and the original Phantasy Star on Master System. Just some bare-bones but with netcode Model 3 and NAOMI ports as well would be rad. Take my money SEGA... ;)
-
There are many good sugestions in this topic.
IMO, a remake of Beyond/Legend of Oasis would be great.

Yup! I can not but agree, Beyond Oasis/The Story of Thor especially is one of my favorite MD games ;)
-
I'd love it if Sega remade Outrun 2019, we're almost catching up to that year too and we're nowhere near that technology, haha.

Gotta love the tunes in that game too.

Sega should create new ideas for games, then gradually build up remakes in between the new ideas. Comix Zone would be nice. As well as Alienstorm, Skies of Arcadia, and maybe even a remake of the Yakuza series. I don't see why so many people are obsessed about Shenmue remakes or a Shenmue III.
-
Surging Aura please. We never got it over here.

Skies of Arcadia
Yes a remake using the Canvas engine would be amazing
