Figure Cool, contest not... this should be able to be obtained by the general public. Not just a select few. Aren't they having figures made for the other characters to be sold in stores. If so, why couldn't they do Ryo.

Anyways... they need to fix the contest site. I also am over the age requirements yet I get a "you're to young error"

Do you live in Quebec, or is the contest being wonky? I suggest you should complain to Sega about the contest site being weird.

Eligibility - The Promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico and all other US territories) and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 13 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees, officers and directors of the Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, (collectively "Promotion Entities") their immediate families (parent, child, sibling & spouse) and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. Void in Quebec, Puerto Rico, all other US territories and where prohibited by law, rule or regulation. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

So if you live in Quebec then it is understandable why it doesn't work. The ridiculous age limit to enter the website I am assuming is a mistake. Just say you are 21+ if you aren't and then use your SEGA Pass.

I doubt I will win the forklift figure but I have won something from SEGA before. I won a free SegaDreamcast T-shirt before launch. I was pretty stoked and I still have it although it is very worn out by now.

They said they're giving away 75 of them.  Not that only 75 exist.

But speaking of Shenmue figurines, I saw an auction of a cool Shenhua figurine a couple of years back.  But collecting figurines is a slippery slope, man.

A Shenhua figure popped up on ebay last week (checks if it's still there)

Yup: http://cgi.ebay.com/Shenmue-Japan-NOT-F ... 588615f11e

$60 though, bit steep for a so-so figure. Paint job is sort of sloppy. I'd rather buy the Shenmue Timex watch:

24, in Ontario.
Maybe it was just a fluke, but I got that "Not available in your region" type message.
I'll keep trying though.

Damn it Sega! This is a figure, not a real life Ferrari. Tis is worse than that time some years ago when i tried to get a 1/100 YF-19 at wonderfest :(

There really are missing a once in a lifetime oportunity here, heck a lot of peolpe would also buy the other characters if they were released with this same awesome level of detail (would gladly buy this, Ulala, Akira & Jacky and Amy.)

Firstly yes, the Nintendo DS demo is out now in the US – it will be arriving in Europe soon.

Anyway, last night it further came to my attention that the SEGA Pass Americans amongst you had received an email about SEGA of America’s sweepstakes which confirmed the existance of a Ryo Hazuki figure.

What Ryo Hazuki figure? Why that’ll be this Ryo Hazuki figure:

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Raing - Ryo Hazuki Figure (Front)

Now SOA will today no doubt be regaling you with further details about the sweepstakes today, (they were off yesterday for President’s Day) which are available for the USA and Canada only – minus Puerto Rico and Quebec (sorry Red Hedgehog)!

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Raing - Ryo Hazuki Figure (Rear)However for everyone else who is currently muttering unsavory things, they are very limited indeed. The run is only 1000 globally. Don’t believe me? Check the back of the box!

There we go. Now, to just confirm whilst we won’t be doing a sweepstake there will be opportunities for you to win one of the 50 Ryo Hazuki figures that after much effort I’ve managed to secure for Community Team purposes in Europe.  You’ll have to wait to see how you win them though.

Actually, let me correct myself – one of the 49 as I’m putting one aside for a certain website related to the character concerned.  I’ll be getting in contact with them once the figures actually arrive here.

If it says you are too young to enter try entering a year that makes you 21. As far as I can tell it is an error with how they did it, considering the rules say that you have to be 13 years or older to be eligible.

I don't get it  :|. I'm 19 years old, so there's no reason for them not allowing me to enter.

Maybe they wanted it open just to people who were old enough to appriciate Shenmue when it released!

OH BURN!

(Just kidding, I love you!)
