so I was searching online for sega dreamcast, and it seems there are different type of batteries. Some are rechargeable others are not. I opened the console, to see which type I have, but I didn't see any indication of the model number of the battery I have.
So my question:
1- how do I know the model number I have? all I saw it's 3V rechargeable battery2- which replacement battery do you guys suggest me buying?
2- which replacement battery do you guys suggest me buying? does this work: http://www.ebay.com/itm/170997910847?eu ... Tags=bu=bu (http://www.ebay.com/itm/170997910847?euid=5f735e8ccc9b402a9c1c06f5133c543e&bu=44080262794&cp=1&sojTags=bu=bu)

Hi, welcome to the forums. First off, let's move this topic to the appropriate section. Secondly, what console are you even talking about?

Hello thank you. I'm talking about Sega Dreamcast US version

I would refer to this guide: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Dreamcast+CMOS+Battery+Replacement/5020
Best of luck!

Thank you for your reply. The link you suggested showed me how to install the battery. The only thing is that they didn't indicate which model number for the battery they used

Just as a heads up, the coin cell that was pictured in this guide (a CR2025 from what I can see) is not rechargeable. The stock battery is an ML2430, so a suitable replacement of about the same size as a CR2025 would be cells with the code ML20XX (ML2020, ML2025, ML2032).
