While that's the ideal, like I said before they can't add anything in Sonic Generations in the given time.
The people who worked for remastering Sonic Generations and making a whole new game called Shadow Generations were different.

Not really.
People have been requesting remastered of Sonic Generations after Sonic Colours Ultimate, especially on Nintendo Switch.
The demand was really high for that.
They're still gonna buy it whether it has Shadow Generations or not, me included.

The demand was only high for the console players.
PC gamers, not so much given Sonic Generations was still available for them.

PC players aren't as loud as console players since they got to play lot of Sonic fan games ... and mods.
And also Steam Deck players has requested it too since the original wasn't supported in it.

I thought this was a dead trend by now!

From what we were able to find out, the game appears to be based on the 1996 arcade original and features many of the same locations and enemies. But rather than aiming with the use of a lightgun, players would instead use either motion controls or button presses to move the character around in 3D space, with the reticule always remaining firmly in the center of the screen.

I understand. I had Sonic CD and feels cheated when I had to buy it again in Sonic Origins.

I have Sega Genesis & Mega Drive Collection with all the games, including Sonic games as well as Sonic CD. I also still have that voucher for a free copy of Sonic 1 from that time Sonic Mania was postponed on PC.

I have Sega Genesis & Mega Drive Collection with all the games, including Sonic games as well as Sonic CD. I also still have that voucher for a free copy of Sonic 1 from that time Sonic Mania was postponed on PC.

Sonic games in Sega Genesis & Mega Drive Collection are just roms, different than Taxman version in Origins so I won't mind paying it again.
But Sonic CD in Steam ... it's already Taxman version.
