SEGA currently looking into creating a new Virtua Fighter entry after Ultimate Showdown met or exceeded expectations

Quote
"The very core of this lies at making sure that the people who have enjoyed and supported Virtua Fighter for so long will also enjoy this potential new title," said Aoki.
"If the players aren't there, the planning is all for naught.
So, we would like for them to keep enjoying the series and if we're making a new one, it'd have to be a game that lives up to their expectations and hopes."

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is in the top 10 most popular fighting games on PC right now

What's extra wild about his is just how high Brawlhalla's numbers are compared to every other fighter on the list as the number one game overall but also the only platform fighter.
One of the biggest factors in Brawlhalla's favor as mentioned above is its free-to-play business model that only locks cosmetics behind real money transactions.

Dabuz releases ordered Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tier list for patch 13.0.1
Joker and Pyra/Mythra are The Best Characters, Sonic is Top Tier

Quote
According to Dabuz, the 2 best characters in the game, without question, are Joker and Pyra/Mythra.
Notably, Joker was released as part of the first Fighters Pass while Pyra & Mythra were packaged in the Fighters Pass Vol. 2.
These are definitely 2 DLC characters that are worth buying for competitors.

And here I thought Brawlhalla was a "flash in the pan" kind of game.

Yeah, Guest stars and crossovers in fighting games too.
It existed before in Fighting Vipers (Pepsiman), Soul Calibur (Spawn, Link, Heihachi), and Tekken (Gon)

but somehow SSB made it more popular

I played Tekken for the PS1 ages a go, back when it was just "Playstation". I always thought Gon was just one of the cast.

I have read the manga before Tekken 3 came out, so it was really surprising at that time.
The manga is kinda popular back then here because the arts were so good.
The manga consists many pictures without any word written at all.

Sonic's forward smash beats basically everything
Can it be defeated by any pair of fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?

Sonic's forward smash is basically invulnerable.
UR2SLOW previously explored why this phenomenon takes place, and it appears that the hurtbox around Sonic's forward Smash is essentially nonexistent — so the big fist functions like an invincible move without technically being classed as one.
The tests conducted includes sets of Link, Dark Pit, Banjo, Corrin, Ganondorf, Sephiroth, Shulk, Bayonetta, Villager and even Sora. Can any of the duo's best a single hedgehog?

I haven't played Smash Bros since Brawl and even I know Sonic is one of the most powerful fighters in the game but only if played right making him more of a "high risk, more reward" sort of fighter.

So it's like an art book?

No, it's comic. But a silent comic.
A kind of comic that has now words on it since animals can't really talk anyway.

He's very fast. Sometimes it making him very hard to control.

Think of it as kinetic energy. A bullet is harmless without a gun to shoot it. Sonic has moderate attacks with some hard hits but if you can utilize his agility he can be an effective fighter. Granted I never properly mained as Sonic but I've seen gameplay footage of those who main as Sonic in Smash Bros. They're sthe sort to give a face full of combos and quickly evade and surprise before the opponent can fight back. Hard to describe it, it's like a aggressive tactic but hit fast than hit hard.

There is also who played "hit and run" with Sonic,
kinda annoying but it's still a fair fight.

Yep. Wish I fought like that when I played Brawl.
