Here’s my take: This does not invalidate all the information nor does it mean that this information is false. It is likely Production Weekly’s information is from earlier work on the film that has since evolved.
Also, I find it odd that these sources claim the synopsis is incorrect given it is exactly what the Sonic 2 mid-credits scene sets up for a third film, yet they do not confirm or deny the mention of various characters.

And if they want more, might I recommend Testament: The Bible Animation. You can watch them all here.
HA! I'm an atheist-agnostic recommending biblical shows! Still, I just like the quality of the animation, and whenever you believe the stories or not they're still good stories.

We do need good Riders content of late.
I hope Sonic Riders DX will have a workshop for people to submit custom made courses and racetracks.

I finished it it 7:72 or so. I'm sure I can do better if I want to speedrun it.
