Added Beastball: Gladiator Edition for SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive

Quote
JJ Games : "Hey everyone,

We've been a little quiet on the JJGames.com front because we were off running the annual Midwest Gaming Classic trade show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! As part of the show, we created three ULTRA limited game variants which were put on sale for the first time at the show itself! Now that the show is over, we have listed the remaining inventory EXCLUSIVELY on JJGames.com! :

Beastball: Gladiator Edition (Genesis, $60) - I'm super excited for this game! The game was originally released in 1993 as Brutal Sports Football for the Amiga, and was advertised to come out on the Genesis and Super Nintendo toward the end of that year under the name Beastball... but it never did. Instead, Spectrum Holobyte made the interesting choice to release the game for the Atari Jaguar and CD32, while the Genesis and SNES games never saw the light of day. The Jaguar version is one of my personal favorite games for that console, and I am happy to report the Genesis game plays similarly. If you get into it, I think it's a blast.

Even better, we worked with Steve "Tower" Henneberry of American Gladiators fame, and he is lending his official endorsement to the game! It's a perfect crossover, and we created a new backstory and were even able to make an awesome splash screen that will be exclusive to this version of the game. Limited to 200 copies, each one will be signed by Steve Henneberry and will an include an individually numbered collector coin!"

I prefer controllers myself... but when it comes to first-person shooters/view games, mouse is ideal for observation and shooting.

It's why when it comes to FPS, I have this crazy set-up where in my left hand is my XBox 360 controller for movement, and the shoulder-buttons for duckings and jumping and in my right hand I use a mouse for looking around and shooting.

I know there are such things as "gaming keyboards" but to me, my ideal gaming keyboard would be the ASCII Keyboard Controller on account it has analogue stick built in, which is far superior to WASD-movement.

I rarely using keyboard anymore but I remember the transition from keyboard to controller really took time for platformer games.
Platformers in classic PC games usually use UP Arrow (keypad) or W (if tehre is WASD setup for player two) for jumping.
But almost all platformers in console games has a dedicated button for jumping, UP button isn't for jumping.

I might give a nosey when it's released. Though I imagine it's not that different to Speed Jungle Zone or Cyber Station Zone, just reusing assets from the racecourse.

Seeing the simple trailer I don't think there will be any that's worth to be hyped but of course I'd love to be proven wrong :

MysticMonkey was already taken.

Really, I thought that name was already unique enough.

Anyway, Dhalsim still predates Ristar and Luffy.
If it's not limited to just hand then Plastic Man and Mr. Fantastic too.

  • I don't know who Hampton Squib is, I guess he will be an original character. But I imagine he will be like Huey from DuckTales, with his Woodchuck attitude.

So far, the cast we have are:
    • Matthew Rhys as Gilius Thunderhead, a grumpy battle dwarf with exceptionally poor hygiene and a chip on his shoulder.
    • Danny Pudi as Hampton Squib, a naive, inexperienced first time adventurer who has dreamt of questing his entire life. He hopes his can-do attitude can make up for his inability to actually do stuff.
    • Lisa Gilroy as Tyris Flare, a fearsome battle sorceress, deadly in a fight and even deadlier with her sharp wit.
    • Liam McIntyre as Ax Battler, a barbarian warrior with a strict code of honor and sweet golden retriever demeanor. His brawn outweighs his brains, but his heart outweighs his brawn.
    • Carl Tart as Chronos "Evil" Lait, originally from Golden Axe III, is a 100 percent badass humanoid panther. At least that’s how Chronos describes himself. In reality he’s uncomfortably cheesy and can’t read a room.

The inclusion of Chronos means Golden Axe III has the same timeline with Golden Axe I/II.
I thought Golden Axe III was happened hundred years after Golden Axe II.
