Just announced, hopefully it's meeting their current expectations. Pleased for everyone at SEGA and The Creative Assembly, I'll be there day one again for whatever game this team does next!

Awesome news, I know its unlikely but I hope it goes on to beat Colonial Marines life time sales... What a world where that pile of shit can sell more than this game just because its a shooter.
-
How many did Colon Marines sell?
This is good news though. (I still haven't bought it though)

1.31 million. It should be noted most of that was within the first month and I don't expect the sales to be much more than that until the price collapse when it was on sale regularly for £2.99 at retail.
-
Also it's been confirmed by SEGA themselves that the 1 million sold here is directly to consumers, whilst A: CM figure was sold to retailers.

Come to think of it, Colon Marines has been de-listed too? That will help Ayyy lmao Isolation catch up.
I don't really care if it outsells, but it's nice to see a survival horror game doing well.

It's so hard to tell what is a success to Sega. Didn't Bayo sell over a 1 million.

Bayonetta not getting a sequel has less to do with it not being profitable.
Besides with the addition of DLC, sales directly to consumers is just one way for SEGA making money out of Isolation.
-
I think the Bayo sequel case is more about that what happened with Vanquish and Anarchy Reigns R&D/estimated investments that sealed the deal with Platinum, even if Bayo sold 1+ M copies.
-
Great news, I need to buy this game stat and support it.

It is good to see the game sold well. Game is awesome.

Great news. I'll add myself to the number in the near future. Gotta finish up some games first

What else stopped em?

Platinum being cunts.

Platinum being cunts.
Platinum making a lot of original games rather than just sequels is part of what makes them so great IMO.
That being said, I doubt that Bayonetta 2 being cancelled or put on hiatus at first was because of Platinum, probably more because of SEGA.
-
After colonial marines this should at least add a huge boost for future potential of the franchise.
I mean as long SEGA still has the privlage to make the games, for how long that's gonna be

I never said otherwise, I like original games too.
