Post any games that is due out soon or coming within the year. A good way to raise profiles of games from small time developers and publishers. Any games that have been released for a while or from a major developer/publisher would be unfortunately removed from the topic.
Anyway, I'll start if off, Jett Rocket, a game for the WiiWare, fully 3D with tonnes of things to do. Infact the amount of content in the game is unbelieveable, could even pass for a retail game (Considering most of the games on the Wii) released later this month at 1000 points for both America and Europe.

For more, check the official site: http://jett-rocket.shinen.com/index.php (http://jett-rocket.shinen.com/index.php)
So anyone else want to share?

Flip's Twisted World, which is also for Wii, but this is a retail release. The gameplay and art look very good with music done by my main man Tommy Tallarico. It was not looking too great at first, but it got almost a year of extra development time and is now looking really great!

ilomilo for the Xbox Live Arcade. Nice, fun looking game with a simple play style and cool art style. Looks very good!

Apparently once you beat Jett Rocket, the credits tell you to get ready for Jett Rocket 2!
Also, really really looking forward to 'Protect Me Knight', it looks fantastic.

I'm not sure if this counts as a "small developer" but Monkey Island 2: Lechuck's Revenge Special Edition comes out in the next few months. I'm very excited for it. ^-^

It comes out NEXT WEEK I think!
I can't wait for it!

Next week? YARRRRR!!

That's Right: 6th July for PSN, 7th for XBLA.
Not sure about Steam etc.

Holy shit.
-
Damn, that looks awesome.
-
Nice! like an odd mix between JSRF, Ico and Rez. And cross platform too! :D
-
That looks seriously good. Don't let them ruin it with some Japanese emo storyline stuff, Sanus.
-
I'm pretty sure people barely know about these games.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, a new PC/Xbox 360 Point n Click game with an equally vague release date.

Blade Kitten is out on PSN, Xbox Live and PC download. It's a 3D side-scrolling platformer. I've played through it once already and now I'm running through it again. It's very fun, I highly recommend it! ^-^

Ooh, yeah, I've heard about that game from Shadi. ^__^ I'll have to check it out sometime.

Comic Jumper hits XBLA in two days. Reviews thus far are giving it a 3.5/5 and 8/10, biggest complaint seems to be that the game gets repetitive, which is a common complaint of side scrolling beat 'em/shoot 'em ups. Still, the 4 worlds featuring unique graphics makes it look as though it'll remain fresh enough for one or two playthroughs. I definitely see myself playing the anime levels a lot if only to show off to friends who visit.
Really fucking weird:

That looks really cool! Man, I'm going to have to start deciding what download-able game I want more. Crazy Taxi, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, or this unique-looking game? Hmm, choices, choices...

^This is a retail game, so that made your choices a little easier :)

Pac-Man Party is coming out November 16th! Looks like a fun party game.

After browsing the 1st page I observed there was barely any discussion here.
We should try an unknown game to the month thing, so atleast people would talk rather than post YouTube Link.
Now I'll go through the remaining 3 pages.
EDIT:
Yeah more YouTube vids than discussions.

The first game was really cool, so I'll probably pick up this one as well!

One game that has caught my attention is the upcoming downloable title ORION: Prelude. Now I don't know about you guys, but I love dinosaurs, so any game that includes them gets my attention.
[youtube:2ju1pt3m]ym2qnLn0HtI[/youtube:2ju1pt3m]
Based on what I've read it sounds like it is going to be a first-person shooter. I'm excited to see more of this game.

I am mad about how they changed the art of the playable character, but everything else looks pretty cool. Really puts me in the perfect mood for a new Space Harrier or Panzer Dragoon though, that is for sure!

Not surprising, though.
There are plenty of obscure games I would love to talk about, but because of the nature of these games, we barely know anything about it, since there's no coverage between the day the press release is issued and the game hits shelves.
I got my eye on Arcana Heart 3, to which thus far I've only read the press release, there's Deathsmiles, a shooter. It's great and all, but there really isn't that much to talk about them.
I could also talk about Gray Matter, I played the demo and frankly I didn't like it and seeing how they are selling this with a friggin' 49€ price tag, screw it. It has one of the most awkward controls I've ever seen, it's kinda like the old-school Resident Evil controls, but even weirder.
What else? I hear Naughty Bear is getting a Gold release, hopefully, they will fix the huge glitches.
And I'm sad to say that Ugo Volt is now officially the Duke Nukem Forever of the portuguese video game land.

Uh... sorry we didn't use the thread to your liking? Best not to overthink the direction of a thread, or dictate how you'd like it to go. max is right, there is so little to talk about regarding these games (they're unknown) that a month or even a week is far too much discussion time.
Unknown up and coming game is announced, member posts a youtube video, other members now know of the game and say "looks cool, bro", makes sense to me.
Anywho:

THanks for letting me know about this game Bazza, it looks potentially awesome. Gonna keep my eyes peeled.
-
Wow, the guys from Twisted Pixel are nasty. I haven't seen this much of a parody since the old Sega/Nintendo wars.
-
The game has a Clockwork Knight/Mr. Bones vibe, i love it.
Also, this would be the first shooter on the kinect? Aim with your hand, "shoot" by flicking your wrist. While I prefer the ol' lightgun, I could see that method working. Fuck Kevin Butler, I'll use my hand like a gun and enjoy a game from a promising developer.
-
Though I did not like Comic Jumper at all from what I played, I am a pretty big fan of Twisted Pixel, know some of their staff too, good people. I will probably be getting that if I get Kinect.
I heard a Gears of War "On-rails" shooter is coming to Kinect as well, CliffyB even hinted at it. I was not sure about it, but then I remembered how well 2Spicy worked out and got kind of excited for it. Hopefully if that does well, SEGA brings that over too. Samba de Amigo was the obvious one, but I think Loving Deads: The House of the Dead EX could work very good on it as well. Here's to hoping Rise of Nightmares is a pretty game for SEGA and gets them to try out some other things.
Also, major major kudos to Max Cady for mentioning DeathSmiles, which has been out for a bit in America now, but is just now coming to PAL regions. I was never a fan of shmups before, but this and stuff like Radiant Silvergun really just changed me. DeathSmiles especially has some of the best design in ANY 2D game I have played that is new in years, it really is just a wonderful game with some of the most wonderfully created tactical gameplay I have seen in anything outside of a 2D fighter in years, it is all optional too, so if you want to play without thinking, you can do that as well. I really recommend it fully.
[youtube:1eysb39m]gMP7a3nbuKk[/youtube:1eysb39m]
The music is a treasure as well!
-
I think it was you who mentioned Deathsmiles first and at that time I noticed that it had the same european publisher as Deadly Premonition, so I started to really get into it.
I gotta admit the price tag is very impressive for a special edition that includes soundtrack and a disc with PC stuff.
To my surprise, there's also a game listed for release in March called Raiden Fighters Aces, which is a compilation of 3 games from an old arcade franchise.
Doesn't get any more hardcore than that.
But now that you mention it, there seems to be a huge blackout about Rise of Nightmares.
-
It would be awesome if we learned a beloved SEGA dev or director was behind Rise of Nightmares. Or better yet, that it's a spin-off of House of the Dead. Though I welcome a new IP.
-
Okay, I just cannot believe this is happening. I absolutely love DeathSmiles and Guwange by CAVE - A developer only known for shmups, but damn good ones. In fact, I used to hate the genre all together, and well, these guys really changed me. Not to say all of their games look as brilliant as the ones I already played, but I am rambling, so let me finish!
In their games I played, I thought the way content and depth was handled was absolutely wonderful, but it would always come to me that I thought they really just should make a brilliant platformer. With all of their concepts they used in stuff like DeathSmiles, they could just absolutely make a wonderful platformer, but it did not seem like something they would do.
Well, they are! And it looks fantastic! I love absolutely everything I am seeing here. Holy balls, I cannot believe how pumped I am for an XBLA title!

Getting Nin2-Jump (or Nin Nin Jump) day one for sure, even if the price is retarded.
Details:
Cave's next Xbox Live Arcade game won't be a shooter. Up next for the shooting masters is an original scrolling action game called Nin-2 Jump (pronounced Nin Nin Jump).
Announced at Cave's Akihabara press conference and demo event today, Nin Nin Jump puts you in control of Nin Ja, a powerful ninja in the service of the castle. You'll have to work through various stages in an effort to save Princess Sakura who's been kidnapped by the evil ninja Namakura.
Gameplay promises to be simple, with players making use of jumps and ninja actions. As you progress through the game, you'll unlock additional ninja actions. Examples include:
Chain
Toss a chain at hooks on walls to dash from wall to wall.
Ninja Power
Build up ninja power by collecting scrolls. When you unleash your stored ninja power, you can dash through the stages while taking out enemies.
In the screenshots, you'll notice some silhouette figures watching the action. Those are meant to be spectators -- specifically kids watching a "shadow play." The kids will show different reactions based off your play.
The game offers two modes:
Adventure Mode
Work through the story as you play through five worlds. Each world consists of 10 stages, which you clear by collecting all the scrolls laying about. At the end of each world, you'll find a boss waiting. Clear a world, and you'll gain new ninja actions.
Score Attack Mode
Part survival and part score attack, this mode has you kill as many enemies as you can before your life runs out. Enemies appear endlessly. By making consecutive kills, you'll get a large amount of score items which can increase your score.
Both modes are compatible with network rankings. Adventure mode's ranking is based off time. Score Attack's ranking is based off score.
Nin-2 Jump is due for Xbox Live Arcade release some time this year.

I'm playing it right now, and really enjoying it. The interface is a bit reminiscent of the Ace Attorney games, but the gameplay has more in common with echoshift. It's really good though. I'm interested to see where the story goes. It's got the same great writing of the Phoenix Wright games too :).

Jurassic Park
On the stormy night when Jurassic Park fell apart, a desperate smuggler infiltrates Isla Nublar, hunting the precious canister containing the contraband dinosaur embryos. She collides -- literally -- with park staff trying to evacuate, and they become stranded amidst the collapsing park ruins, with the newly-freed dinosaurs on the loose. When InGen launches a perilous rescue operation, mercenaries, saboteurs, and survivors are thrown together in the struggle to escape the island.
In this intense adventure game based on the blockbuster film franchise, the survivors' agendas clash, secrets of the park are exposed, and a new threat emerges: an eerie, nocturnal predator stalking the group, hunting them relentlessly across the island.
Should be awesome.

I'm super excited for Jurassic Park. I've always loved the franchise and TellTale makes excellent adventure games so I am very, very eager to play it!
-
Yes I am also a huge fan of the franchise, I am sure that it will be awesome. I love Jurassic Park. :D
-
Did a article about upcoming Telltale games over at bitloaders. They are a great company. I can't wait for Fables and Walking Dead stuff.
-
So Microsoft also wants in on the Free-to-Play market (with microtransactions), huh?
A 2005 PC game is making it's way onto XBLA and Magna Carta 2 dev Softmax is working on the port. (http://http://www.siliconera.com/2011/03/24/dungeon-fighter-online-brawls-on-to-xbox-live-arcade/)
Seen some screenshots on Famitsu, looks like Little Fighter 2 HD.
-
Probably just their way to combat Sony's announcement about 'Free Realms' coming soon.
-
I mentioned it before, but Nin2-Jump, by CAVE is coming out this month for 400 Microsoft Points, with all of the proceeds going to the Red Cross. All those considered, I am not even going to try the demo. This is a day one for me!
Honestly, I already thought the game looked great, and I wanted a platformer from CAVE so bad I did not care. Posting the trailer again, in hopes people purchase it when it comes out!
[youtube:3l7eslsg]7xYRXoJNoW4[/youtube:3l7eslsg]
I understand where the complaints are coming from, with the lack of animation (and if anyone on these boards is an animation whore... It is me), but I am expecting great things from this. Especially based on their track record.
Probably just their way to combat Sony's announcement about 'Free Realms' coming soon.

-
I'm gonna try that Nin2 Jump dealie I think. I haven't played Deathsmiles yet, should give that a shot sometime.
-
Not sure if either of these have been posted, but I have been really excited about these two upcoming PC indie games:
Capsized (releases on Steam on April 29th)

and Snapshot, not sure on a release date with this one:

That snap-shot game has some gorgeous graphics.
That and the gameplay looks pretty inventive really. Been watching it for at least a year, but I swear I remember seeing the prototype a couple years back.
-
Well, it's sad to see that a few promising titles have yet to arrive, especially the more obscure ones...
Captain Blood completely faded into obscurity.
Though I want to plug The Testament of Sherlock Holmes. This seems pretty amazing...

The first Holmes game to land on 360 was a basic PC port but this is very promising.
