After browsing the 1st page I observed there was barely any discussion here.

We should try an unknown game to the month thing, so atleast people would talk rather than post YouTube Link.

Now I'll go through the remaining 3 pages.

EDIT:
Yeah more YouTube vids than discussions.

Getting this for sure. There are too few colorful platformers on the HD consoles.

One game that has caught my attention is the upcoming downloable title ORION: Prelude. Now I don't know about you guys, but I love dinosaurs, so any game that includes them gets my attention.

Based on what I've read it sounds like it is going to be a first-person shooter. I'm excited to see more of this game.

I am mad about how they changed the art of the playable character, but everything else looks pretty cool. Really puts me in the perfect mood for a new Space Harrier or Panzer Dragoon though, that is for sure!

Not surprising, though.

There are plenty of obscure games I would love to talk about, but because of the nature of these games, we barely know anything about it, since there's no coverage between the day the press release is issued and the game hits shelves.

I got my eye on Arcana Heart 3, to which thus far I've only read the press release, there's Deathsmiles, a shooter. It's great and all, but there really isn't that much to talk about them.

I could also talk about Gray Matter, I played the demo and frankly I didn't like it and seeing how they are selling this with a friggin' 49€ price tag, screw it. It has one of the most awkward controls I've ever seen, it's kinda like the old-school Resident Evil controls, but even weirder.

What else? I hear Naughty Bear is getting a Gold release, hopefully, they will fix the huge glitches.

And I'm sad to say that Ugo Volt is now officially the Duke Nukem Forever of the portuguese video game land.

Uh... sorry we didn't use the thread to your liking? Best not to overthink the direction of a thread, or dictate how you'd like it to go. max is right, there is so little to talk about regarding these games (they're unknown) that a month or even a week is far too much discussion time.

Unknown up and coming game is announced, member posts a youtube video, other members now know of the game and say "looks cool, bro", makes sense to me.

Anywho:

Wow, the guys from Twisted Pixel are nasty. I haven't seen this much of a parody since the old Sega/Nintendo wars.

The game has a Clockwork Knight/Mr. Bones vibe, i love it.

Also, this would be the first shooter on the kinect?  Aim with your hand, "shoot" by flicking your wrist. While I prefer the ol' lightgun, I could see that method working. Fuck Kevin Butler, I'll use my hand like a gun and enjoy a game from a promising developer.

Though I did not like Comic Jumper at all from what I played, I am a pretty big fan of Twisted Pixel, know some of their staff too, good people. I will probably be getting that if I get Kinect.

I heard a Gears of War "On-rails" shooter is coming to Kinect as well, CliffyB even hinted at it. I was not sure about it, but then I remembered how well 2Spicy worked out and got kind of excited for it. Hopefully if that does well, SEGA brings that over too. Samba de Amigo was the obvious one, but I think Loving Deads: The House of the Dead EX could work very good on it as well. Here's to hoping Rise of Nightmares is a pretty game for SEGA and gets them to try out some other things.

Also, major major kudos to Max Cady for mentioning DeathSmiles, which has been out for a bit in America now, but is just now coming to PAL regions. I was never a fan of shmups before, but this and stuff like Radiant Silvergun really just changed me. DeathSmiles especially has some of the best design in ANY 2D game I have played that is new in years, it really is just a wonderful game with some of the most wonderfully created tactical gameplay I have seen in anything outside of a 2D fighter in years, it is all optional too, so if you want to play without thinking, you can do that as well. I really recommend it fully.
