SEGA Genesis Mini 2 Officially Announced as Amazon Exclusive and Blasts its Way to North America on October 27th!

Article : http://segabits.com/blog/2022/07/13/rumor-sega-genesis-mini-2-seemingly-confirmed-in-amazon-us-listing/

SEGA Genesis Mini 2 will be in much shorter supply (around one-tenth) than original

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8RGornqWgw

Quote
My questions about Genesis Mini 2 shipments were forwarded to Sega of Japan's corporate office, which eventually confirmed that the new miniaturized console was a "Japan-only project" for the company.
"The Sega Genesis Mini 2 could only be produced in small numbers due to the global semiconductor shortage," reads a letter from the Sega president's office, so the company opted to produce a small Western batch of Genesis Mini 2s alongside its order of Mega Drive Mini 2s.
"The number of units for this project makes up around one-tenth of the total for the previous Genesis Mini," the letter states.

Take A Test Drive In This Promising OutRun Port For The Atari 8-Bits

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PthcHVsuOWU

Quote
Sure, it's not as colorful or as detailed as the ST version, but it still manages to hint toward the escapist fantasy that's at the heart of Yu Suzuki's original vision.
The graphics, for example, are fairly decent and the renditions of Splash Wave and Magical Sound Shower are surprisingly listenable given some of the audio restrictions.

Over Jump Rally is a fan-created homage to Sega Rally built in Unreal Engine 5

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtGDqk0NeXI

The Over Jump Rally demo is 13GB and available to download via MediaFire.
I gave it a try and had some difficulty with it, performance-wise, although it ran better once I tweaked a config file (which a readme text file explains how to do).
It is barebones, but still a lovely fan project.
The demo recreates the Forest stage, and here's a video with some side-by-side comparisons : ...

The cancelled “Super Spin”, developed by Zyrinx Software in 1993 for the Sega Genesis, Rom is Found!

Because this is in such an early state, different terrains such as grass and water do not stop or slow down the player.
A small debug display of sorts also appears within the lower left corner of the screen, although its intended purpose is currently unknown.
