A new year, and a new thread for the films of that year!
What better way to kick things off than a new trailer for The Man of Steel:

This is my most anticipated film for 2013.

I'm really looking forward to Pacific Rim, Iron Man 3, Star Trek into Darkness, Fast and the Furious 6, and Much Ado About Nothing.
-
Beat me to it, dude.
The Man of Steel is my most anticipated. There seems to be a huge Batman Begins vibe with this one.
There are a few others, Iron Man 3, A Good Day to Die Hard, GI Joe Retaliation and Kick Ass 2.
I'm casually optimistic about The Wolverine.
And there's The Lone Ranger and WWZ.
These are the ones that I am expecting to fail badly box office-wise and commercially. Both had serious delays, reshoots, scheduling problems, budget restraints and internal production issues.
I expect them to be 2013's John Carter.
-
We also have The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Monsters University.
And not that I give a shit about it, but the long delayed G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
My most anticipated? The first two I listed above, plus Man of Steel. Big Superman movie fan (suck it, Cube!) and can't wait to see Superman with a Dark Knight tone. Wonder if Henry Cavill will play Superman, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play Batman in a JLA movie? It would be very stupid of WB to recast those two and create a second DC film universe. Can you imagine there being two actors playing Superman at once?
-
I really hope Man of Steel doesn't have a Dark Knight tone to it.
I want All Star Superman on the big screen. I want to see Superman hugging people and telling them they're stronger than they think they are.
-
I think I worded it wrong. I want exactly what you mentioned. Though I want the movie to feel as real as Dark Knight did. Sort of how the original Superman films said "you will believe a man can fly", but I want to believe it the same way Dark Knight made a Batman and a Joker believable.
-
I think I know what you mean. Having Superman exist in a more genuine feeling universe will be good if they can pull it off, especially if they keep Superman all-powerful. Also in the trailer there's a scene with him spitting up blood, the fights should be intense.

With the kind of tone that Man of Steel looks to have, what will DC do when it comes to the JLA movie? Especially since I think this is Nolan's last DC Comics related movie?

Wow, I had no idea this existed. Very cool. Odd cameo for GLaDOS though.
I really want After Earth to be good, and the first teaser (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aanhrAnGqPY) is. Fresh Prince and Mini Fresh Prince can do it, but it's that M. Night Shyamalan that has me on the fence.
Oblivion looks fun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQ3Mt9yiz6k), but I wish Tom Cruise would stop acting like he's 30. Be the older guy, as seen in Tropic Thunder.
Warm Bodies is certainly on my list (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQ3ZwtyKs_o), though I keep confusing the lead female with Kristen Stewart...
