Release date is 2016. Might be coming out in August next year? Plenty of time to make a fullscale game out of the mystical PSO2 concept and promote it in the West with the anime.

Why do they tease us with stuff like this?

I hope the animation is good... PSO is worth it. I will be watching. Is it by TMS?

Your dreams will come true guys ;)

No announcement on staff, actors, animation studio or even a solid release date yet.
-
I'd love it if M-A-O is one of the actors for this, I loved her performance as Dreamcast in the SEGA Hard Girls series.

This is unintended to piss off Westerners because this is just an adaptation. It is not annoying as the English version in Asia in comparison.

Sure hope the anime won't actually be called PSO2. That would confuse newcomers who might go thinking this is a second season of an anime or something.
PSO alone would be nice.

The animation studio is Satelight, famous for the Macross (since the 00's) and Aquarion series.

God I hope this is good. The story/writing in PSO2 is so awful that the anime has no where to go but up.

Satelight?!
THIS IS GOING TO BE SO AWESOME!
(The action scenes at least.)

Why would you call a TV show 'Online' though?

Maybe it takes place in a cyber space similar to SAO? That kind of shit is popular these days.
I agree though, they should just call it PSO. PSO2 makes it sound like you missed something.
