Thanks to developer Dfug hard work, we have been graced with the collection that has all the games from Knuckles Baseball to Tails Soccer.
Their painstaking work to digitise the collection of 17 games helps to perserve these bits of Sonic memoriable and shows you how popular Sonic was in 2003, with the height of popularity coming thanks to a combination of Sonic X and the release of Sonic Heroes.

In Gamescom 2022, his most used move by players is Cyloop (drawing a circle around enemy or a group of enemies).
The cyloop I understand, it reminds me of the paraloop in a way.

It's just those flashy anime fighting moves he does against the enemy that require micro cutscenes to observe. Yes they're flashy but do we really need them?
Just my thought of him.
Like if people mention George Lucas,
people would always thought about Star Wars,
but for me Indiana Jones would be first thing that's coming to my mind.

Well.. Too bad it's not canon anymore.

Aw hell, I always regarded the Marauders still canon, just Sonic Team can no longer do anything do anything with them.

Is that a good or bad thing? Do people even still rent physical copies of movies these days?

Yes.. To attract new players who love flashy things in Demon Slayer or Persona games...
Besides... you don't have to use those moves if you don't want to.
I think having many options are good.

Aw hell, I always regarded the Marauders still canon, just Sonic Team can no longer do anything do anything with them.

It seems like they ragequit after Penders' legal case.

This brigns me back to collecting Sonic LCD games from McDonald.

I still have few but most of them aren't playable anymore.

Is that a good or bad thing?

A good thing, still on the Top 3 for three weeks.

Do people even still rent physical copies of movies these days?

Old people still do.
Younger generation may have transitioned to online thing but old people tend to avoid subscription things (probably because their income aren't fixed as it used to be).

It is good. Hopefully not dumb options like what Forces had.
It seems like they ragequit after Penders' legal case.

From what I understand, Penders did not win the case nor did Sega loose. They simply met with a stalemate. However Penders may file another lawsuit if Sega ever used the Marauders again. I simply regard the Marauders still canon just no longer in use. Like Nack, Bark or Bean.
I still have few but most of them aren't playable anymore.
I misplaced mine somewhere.
A good thing, still on the Top 3 for three weeks.
I guess. I mean third place is like being a top loser in a way.
Old people still do.

I miss going to my local blockbuster with my friend or DVD shop and simply browsing movies the old fashioned way for rent.

Yeah, but at that time Archie couldn't find the contract he signed stating that they own any and all characters he made (and the likeness) so lawsuit potential still always exist.

I simply regard the Marauders still canon just no longer in use. Like Nack, Bark or Bean.

Nack, Bark or Bean were created by SEGA of Japan though,
not outside of them (comic companies or animated tv series company)
so they're still considered canon.

I mean third place is like being a top loser in a way.

At least Sonic was 1st place two weeks before and 2nd place one week before.
He's dropping slowly~

Yeah. I miss going to local gamestore too and finding game that I've never seen before.
Nowadays I know all new games from internet and when I bought games, I bought them online.

Sonic 3D Blast (Genesis) was one of them back then, seen it first time on my local gamestore.
It was an instabuy since I liked isometric view games and I love how smooth the graphic was on CRT screen.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4_ht1gL9eo

The graphic is kinda lost in modern TVs or PC.
Same thing's happened with Virtua Fighter 2 Genesis.
It looks bad on PC, isn't it?

But believe me, it was so cool and smooth on CRT TV screen.

SEGAbits @ SAGE 2022: Interview with Noah Copeland on Sonic Triple Trouble 16-BIT – PART ONE

Quote
SEGAbits: First of all, how did you become a Sonic fan, any cool memories you can share?

Noah Copeland: Remember when stores had those game demo kiosks where the controller was down low and the screen was 12 feet in the air? I cranked my neck to a demo of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle once. The music, the attitude, the stunts, the camera work, the action, the gameplay… it was everything my ten year old brain could have wanted! I was hooked. But I couldn’t afford a Game Cube, so I found a CD-ROM the next aisle over. It was Sonic 3 & Knuckles for Windows 95. It was the first game I ever bought.

SEGAbits: What brought you into the fangaming scene, you’ve been a composer so it ...

Yeah, but at that time Archie couldn't find the contract he signed stating that they own any and all characters he made (and the likeness) so lawsuit potential still always exist.
He owned the original concept of the characters but he doesn't own Sega's take on echidnas. In his "Lara-Su Chronicles" while they bare some vague resemblance to mobians (either vague on purpose or simply he's bad at art) instead they are a completely original species of aliens called "Echyd'nya" which totally sound nothing like and completely original from echidna.
Also, he doesn't own the Marauders... he simply thinks he does.

True, but I doubt any of them will have any major use in Sonic games. I doubt they'll show up in Frontiers.
At least Sonic was 1st place two weeks before and 2nd place one week before.

He's going... slow? Blasphemous!

I miss going with my friend and picking out DVDs for us to watch and discussing what we feel like watching. I would also sometimes rent video games from there. I recall renting out Bayonetta for the week... or was it weekend? I can't recall. I just recall finishing it before returning it.

He doesn't own them, but not that it would stop him from making it a legal case.
something that legal team of SEGA wants to avoid.
They prefer using their time do something else than accepthing those "not worth" risks to fight for.

I usually just played games on the rental so I could play longer.
This kind of rental is common in my country :

If I took a game / console home from rental and played them at home,
my mom would yell at me if I played more than an hour.
