Sonic Mania 2 Is Said to Have Been Scrapped Internally at Sega

Probably it's because making character is a lot easier than making a course.
I guess. Especially if that course is temporary. But I can imagine it be done for Sonic Dash.

Sega could always hire someone else to make it I suppose, but honestly, do we need a Sonic Mania 2? I mean, why not just make more DLCs for Sonic Mania Plus? Plus, if a new Sonic Mania means Classic Sonic in a modern Sonic game, do we really need that?

Plus are you sure this is legit? Isn't it the same guy who said Sora isn't going to smash and that the Sonic Adventure remakes were canceled even though Iisuka said he hasn't even made any of the likes?

I love Sonic Mania.
1 or 2 DLC stages won't satisfy my hunger.
My wish is be a full game sequel or nothing at all.

Yes because it didn't contradict what's happened.
Evening Star isn't big studio.
If Evening Star is already busy with their next own game, then it's indeed very likely that they don't work on Sonic Games.

Classic Sonic content added to Sonic Racing for Apple Arcade

Well, I told SNN about the Sonic Mania 2 thing and they said Zippo isn't a credible source due to leaks that turned out to be fibs.

I mean sure, same can be said for Sonic 2 on the Mega Drive but Tails was a major game changer.

That's why I think that Sonic Team should of made "Level Pack DLCs" for Sonic Mania Plus. Simply an assortment of stages to play through for no story or reason other than fun.

Also replace Knuckles and Tails with Vector and Charmy.
Knuckles and Tails still could be unlockable later after finishing the game once
(just like on Sonic CD remake).



And make 2 player stages that could be played in the same screen, not split screen.
This one is kinda hard, but if we're talking about sequel of the best Sonic game of decade, then aim big !

I'd probably keep Tails and Knuckles, but I'd replace Mighty and Ray. Maybe reintroduce Team Chaotix. I wouldn't introduce brand new characters though, only characters who had started in classic Sonic games.

New zones, badniks and new Hard Boiled Heavies being the exception.
