Toshihiro Nagoshi talks about next Yakuza title
« on: February 12, 2013, 06:58:57 am »
Quote
Yakuza series director Toshihiro Nagoshi teased the next Yakuza title in this week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation.

According to Nagoshi, the team is taking a programmatic approach with the next title so that players can have a more physical experience.

Regarding the battle system, the team aims to reach new innovations.

About the next game in general, they want to offer a broadened form of play.

Don’t expect to see the next Yakuza title on PlayStation 3, though. Nagoshi said he thinks Yakuza 5 will be the last entry in the series part of PlayStation 3′s generation.

But rest assured the studio will continue developing with the the intent to make things the best they an under the circumstances.

Nagoshi hopes to show the next “something” sometime this year.

After playing Yakuza 5, I cannot wait to see what they have in store for the Yakuza series. The fact that the interview was given to Playstation Dengaki already indicates that it will be a console title.

Shame that I might have to end up importing this game too!

I'd say too bad he wont be able to do an original IP anytime soon. But that will obviously change. Truth is i dunno how many RGG games i can  take, the series is starting to get stale now IM humble opinion. 5 wasn't a game that blew me away.

Thanks for the tip! News'd it.

Is this our first known SEGA developed PS4 title?

The Creative Assembly's Alien title is suppose to be next gen.

It's going to be interesting to watch. On one hand the Wii U is suffering from poor sales because of lack of compelling software, on the other hand both the Orbis and Durango are probably going to priced that there just will not be the people willing to spend on a new console. Suppose that's why Microsoft is aiming for their console to be more of an entertainment system with a focus on media in general than games.

I guess it will be now, although it was originally reported as being available for the current game systems.
As much as i ended up buying the non SEGA game systems, I'm not buying the next gen systems including Wii U until there's enough Sega games released on them.
