SEGA considered a Dreamcast or Saturn Mini but it would have been "a difficult and expensive process"

Quote
The company did "explore the idea" of a Dreamcast or Saturn Mini but ultimately decided not to pursue it when Sega discovered manufacturing mini consoles had become more expensive post-pandemic (and post semiconductor shortage, of course).
Okunari added that the Mega Drive Mini's internals "can't adequately handle Saturn games", and manufacturing new chipsets would be prohibitively expensive, joking that if they'd proceeded with the idea, the cost of buying a Dreamcast of Saturn Mini could rival that of a modern-day console.
But because the Mega Drive Mini 2 was based upon the existing Mini hardware, it seemed more "manageable".

R.I.P. Hidekazu Yukawa

Hidekazu Yukawa passed last June of pneumonia but his family kept the news private.
It is said he was sick for the past 5 years and was relaxing at home.

Just the rumour on his death. I hope he RIP. I remember his Japanese commercials how he strived for Dreamcast to succeed.

These Ken memes. Has Ken became poor or something?

Not confirmed yet, but judging from his unclean looks, he's either becoming poor or still rich but just don't want to stay in house anymore, becoming a street fighter literally.
According to the story leak, it's probably the later.
What's the point on going home if Eliza and Mel weren't there, for Ken his family used to be his everything, even the source of his strength.

This is anticlimatic since according to the official manga, in Street Fighter III Ken was the best character, he even could beat Gill.
He also beat Ryu when fighting in front of Mel because his love for family is source of his power (he usually tied or lose to Ryu if they're fighting alone).
After beaten by Ken, Ryu then had a new teacher (Oro) and becoming stronger he finally could defeat Akuma.
That's why Street Fighter VI's Ryu has a kinda similar appearance to Oro.
Street Fighter VI's happened after Street Fighter III btw, Street Fighter IV and V were happened before Street Fighter III.

Ken's probably back on his feet again in Street Fighter VI ending but Americans do love a comeback story so may be that's why the meme is so popular.

I also thought Ken got really successful and settled for a material life while Ryu continued on with his vigorous training. In a way it exemplifies the difference in their moralities and interest but doesn't exemplifies a "one is right, one is wrong" choice of lifestyle between two who shared the same origins.
