I can't go to Brazil to enjoy it though. Though I wonder if rumours of the Brazilians love for Sonic is true.

Yes, thanks to Tectoy SEGA Master System (& Mega Drive) which were sold very cheap in Brazil compared to other game system.
In 2016 Tectoy had sold 8 million units of Master System branded systems in Brazil and the number is always growing every year since even until now it's still officially on the market.

Everyone who has a kid in Brazil and want to buy a very first game system for them, the choice would be none other than Tectoy Master System.
And everybody who've played Master System which usually bundling with Sonic games included in the system, would always remember him and hold him dearly.

Wow! Say I were to plan a holiday to Brazil (though unlikely I would. Rio de Janeiro may look exotic but it's crime rate doesn't make me want to go.), what's the most Sonic-iest place in Brazil?

Since Sonic Playground is only for kids (adults can't get in), then The Itinerant Video Game Museum probably.
Not just Sonic branded Tectoy console, it has about 270 consoles of all generations that count 43 years of evolution,
including the Magnavox Odyssey (the first console) and Fairchild Channel F (first console to use game cartridges).

So... Mario's movie cast has been announced.
There are Mario fans groaning at the choice of cast here... but does it matter? It's Nintendo, it's Illumination. It's bound to be good and it's bound to lead to official Mario minions merch. It's inevitable.

Funny thing is Chris Pratt was almost becoming Tom in Sonic Movie, lol.

Btw I like Keegan-Michael Key.
Loves to watch him in "Key and Peele" back then.
I think Toad would be a funny character since Key is his VA.

As petty as it sounds of me, I hope Sonic 2 beats Mario's movie at the box office.

But who am I kidding, it's Nintendo and Illumination, which I have my suspicion that Illumination is a personal animation studio of the Illuminati myself.

Hopefully too. But given how big Despicable Me's Minions' success was (no matter how cringy they are), it's kinda hard.

Yeah. SOnic's first movie really turned it's audience around at the last minute. I doubt they can pull that off again for the sequel... Unless we get the Birds of Prey fans back to support Mario's movie.

We should all be gay and do crime.
