2011 International Consumer Electronics Show
« on: January 05, 2011, 08:34:14 pm »
While not as big as E3, there just might be some cool gaming announcements at CES. Case in point, the Microsoft press conference is about to begin.

Share any bits of CES info here.  :afroman:

MS live keynote (featuring some 360 stuff): http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/even ... event.aspx

Also:
Tetris hitting PS3: http://www.gamingtarget.com/article.php?artid=12236

Watching the keynote: Odd to see old school XBOX logo on a big screen. Feels like the early 2000's.

Kinect sold... they didn't say the amount yet.

Kinect 2011 sneak peaks! Fuck, it's Ron. He likes Depp, no doubt, Wonder if he's gonna watch Alice in Wonderland?

Ron reviews Inception: Awesome awesome film.

Same old demo as before. :P

Ron reviews Tron Legacy: "A good film."

NETFLIX coming to KINECT! When??? This spring. Not bad. Better than never.

Hulu Plus ALSO hitting 360 and Kinect this spring! I'm glad to hear this.

Kinect can track facial expessions!? Mouth, eyebrows? It mimic's your facial movements.

Avatar Kinect announced. talk in different settings: roundtable chat, talkshow format, tailgating, news show. Wish it had mini-games. Free for all gold members.

Kinect sold 8 Million. Beat the 5 million mark by 3 million.

Game Room coming to Windows Phone. Guess it isn't dead yet.

Just noticed that you can save Avatar Kinect shows directly to youtube. So the Mademan & Barry Show can finally be produced?

Oh god, imagine the ratings!

Seriously though, I wonder if this means potential for Segabit's roundtable discussions...

If the video upload time limit is reasonable, then we could totally do some point/counterpoint videos. lol, at least those here who own Kinect (i.e. just us). Perhaps a monthly mod report, warning members of potential flame wars. :P

The talk show format looked hilarious.

Hulu Plus sucks.

Also, Sony's conference was horrible. All I want is a new ATT Android phone that does not suck.

Yeah, I looked into Hulu Plus today and it is a RIPOFF. No standard Hulu content? A majority of the stuff is on Netflix? Pass.

However, Netflix Kinect support will be Great. We wear down our 360 remote batteries due to holding the down button all the time to scan through the long long Netflix menus. Not anymore! Now we will wear down our bones and muscles.
