I too think it means spaceship. I guess it would be cheaper to recreate spaceship corridors in space, but given Sonic likes to have a run around it won't be his style.

Yeah, it would restrict one of his most known trait, running fast.

There is that new upcoming Spider-man cartoon which looks kinda decent.

This kind of animation is not my cup of tea but I understand the charm.

Sonic is a more enjoyable character than Mickey Mouse. But then again I never played Epic Mickey.

Well to be fair there are two Mickey Mouse games that I played and enjoyed a lot back then and both of them are made by SEGA.
Castle of Illusion and World of Illusion. So there were a time when I loved Mickey.

Yeah but Shadow's game was shadow's most major game second to SA2B.

Yeah, second.
Sonic Adventure 2 was the first and it's alone is enough.
It made me remember the question asked in "The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing" book.
Can you name the second person to ever successfully fly across the Atlantic?
Probably not, even though he was a better pilot, reached the other side faster, and consumed less fuel.
How about the first pilot to ever fly across the Atlantic? Yep, Charles Lindbergh, most students know him.

You think there will be a Sonic Forces remaster in the future, like what sXSG had?

Seeing with how low their ratings in metacritic, my guess will be no.
SEGA really cares about it now.

True. And besides, I still got the entire SMD&GC on Steam still. Steam can't take away delisted yet purchased games... can they?

For now they wouldn't that, but who knows if they changed their mind someday.

Ben Hurst simply wanted to make it a TV special to end SatAM than anything for cinema. It's believed Ken Penders told Sega he was making a movie for cinema.

Whether it's a TV Special or movie, SEGA would still reject it if it's being pitched to them.

I don't know, I always thought space means in the spaceship, not in another planet.
Besides this' just the wish of the movie writer.
The director or producer could have anything else differently in mind.

On their Marvel's side at least now they listened to the fans.
Bringing all original casts form DareDevil and Punisher in their new series.

But the trend of live action version of the animated series really annoys me.

Beat on their own home. That made me remember that back then In 1992, according to SEGA of America marketing director Al Nilsen, in US Sonic was found to be more recognizable than Mickey Mouse in the six-to eleven-year-old demographic, based on the character's respective Q Scores.

Yeah, it could be. It could be nothing too though. All of this is still just a speculation.

Silly Penders.
Without him involved, even if Ben Hurst pitched his plan probably SEGA would still reject it.
And if Ben made the film alone without their consent, as long as no money involved, they would just treat it as a fan film.
Of course if money was involved SEGA could always send their lawyers, but it's not because of Penders telling them to.

Considering Shadow Generations producer, Shun Nakamura is the Director of Sonic 06, of course he will prioritized more Sonic 06 than Shadow 05 in Shadow Generations.
I'm still at least glad Black Doom made a comeback.

Such a wasted potential indeed, but the legacy still lives on ... in IDW Comic and the still-running mobile game.

💥 I'm detecting some press freedom here, tovarisch. Maybe I'll need to consult with your commanding officer. 🧐
