So Reborn is really that bad....
I know there's old saying ...

But may be the classic SSS doesn't make much money as targeted so that they have to change it.
And if Reborn is succeed (in term of money of course) then it would likely stay this way.
In SSSR, while levelling up and fusing chao/friends doesn't require robux, it is still a long and annoying process where I think it expects players to just "give up and buy means around it" sort of thing. While in SSS chao level up over extended use, and you can fuse five of a kind anytime, anywhere.
While leveling up still increase your speed, up to a certain limit. I don't know if can spend skill points in increasing speed, but y'know, what's the point in re-borning? The only reason I've been slugging it to Lvl300 is because I was concern one of the missions require reaching Lvl300 and I didn't want to have to work at it all over again... But then again, if they were really dicks about it, they could make re-borning a mission before that objective.
Spin Dash is also nerf'd. I think because Gamefam didn't like people having fun with the momentum. The Spin Dash is more of a "push" of speed and costs a chunk of the boost gauge to use over actual Boosting, which is faster and cost less boost. SSS before didn't need boost because it was already a fast gave, and Spin Dash made it fun!

Original SSS didn't have all that crap and I'm starting to miss it, even if the worlds were smaller and boxed in. I can see why the original SSS may not have been making enough of a profit... but it was fun. And isn't "fun" the most important part of a game?

I always hate when Developer nerfed cool moves.
That's the reason why I stopped playing Marvel Puzzle Quest back then even though I've been playing every day for around five years.

Fun is indeed the most important part of a game, but there's something else that keep players still playing the game and throwing money eventhough it wasn't as fun as before.
If you played The Murder of Sonic Hedgehog and played the slot games over and over again you might remember Tails mentioned about this...

Yep... It's the sunk cost fallacy.

The sunk cost fallacy often motivates people to do things based on how much time or money they've invested — even they don't want to them.
These people and the whales are target of the games, not for the one who's looking for fun factor.

It's like being shot in the leg and being charged for medical attention.

I only played that slot machine game once, just as I buy only one Lotto and EuroMil ticket, than buying a dozen just to increase my chances at literal expense.

But I guess it applies to SSSR. I already have all this content from SSS when I enjoyed it, I hate the game but don't want to give it up, even though I often contemplate I should.

... and encouraged you to run with them again.

When you played visual novel games, we usually do something unusual to trigger events with the characters.
I did them to annoy Tails, and it worked, he's really annoyed and then brought the sunk cost fallacy to the dialogues.
Here's buddy's answer when Tails asked him whether he knows what sunk cost fallacy is.

Forgive me for the picture quality, I took the photo from my Steam Deck.

It also kinda related to what Tails said in Team Sonic Racing and his past in Sonic manga...

Still, I'm not spending Robux on it, just my time. And even I think that's too valuable to have me considering if I should just ditch it.

Hm... American healthcare?

Guess so, not really familiar with it.

Still, I'm not spending Robux on it, just my time. And even I think that's too valuable to have me considering if I should just ditch it.

Well... time is more valuable than Robux.

Not gonna lie, this was a genuine fun update! (Though I hate how skins are limited to roulettes. I missed the Riders Shadow skin last time.)

Good luck beating my record of 1:14.

Uh.. I can't still used to play them in PC, smartphone, or XBox, I'm only playing in handheld most of the time these past few years.
Wish they put Roblox in Switch or at least in Steam so I could play it in Steam Deck.

Hyper Sonic Just Got Referenced For The First Time Outside Of Sonic 3

Quote
We're all familiar with Super Sonic - the form that the Blue Blur takes when he has all seven chaos emeralds.
But back in the retro era, this was far from the limit to Sonic's power.
In Sonic the Hedgehog 3, the super emeralds were introduced, allowing our hero to turn into Hyper Sonic, an even more powerful form. So powerful, in fact, that Sega never brought it back.

Well, until now that is. After an almost 30-year absence from the series, Hyper Sonic finally appeared in an official product.
It just happens that this official product is a texture pack for Minecraft.
This revelation was ...
