@Max Cady:
Good to hear that WWF Royal Rumble wasn't that bad.
It's the only one of the ones I mentioned that was published by SEGA, so I hoped it wouldn't be too bad.
I just know the reviews weren't very good for it.

The wrestling games that SEGA developed in Japan (Giant Gram & Giant Gram 2000) are really good. I have Giant Gram 2000, and it even has Wolf from Virtua Fighter fighting alongside Johnny Ace, Vader, and Bruno Sammartino.

I think there were a few SEGAbits readers that liked Pen Pen, but I'm pretty sure that'd be the case with most Dreamcast games that got poor reviews. Somebody out there's bound to enjoy them.

Slave Zero isn't supposed to be very good.

People are going to hate me for this but as much as I wanted to love Outtrigger.... I fucking hated it. There was a bunch of control options and none of them were very good and there were just so many better MP shooters out at the time...

Dud.

You'll get no argument from me. I also found Outtriger to be very underwhelming as a whole.

It was released during that awkward period of Dreamcast titles which were pretty much arcade ports with barely any new content. Like Confidential Missions, 18 Wheeler, Daytona USA 2001 and Fighting Vipers 2.

Did you guys play Outtrigger with the mouse and keyboard combo?

I played it with the regular DC pad.

The Japanese version came bundled with a mouse, so it's probably the preferable way to play.
I have the mouse, keyboard, and Outtrigger, but haven't given it a shot myself.

Max, you sure you played Daytona USA 2001?
The gameplay was kinda touchy, but it was the game was the opposite of "arcade port with barely any new content".

8 tracks, 10 cars, new graphics..

Zombie Revenge is kind of terrible, but also pretty awesome for the same reasons.

I expected this thread to be Zombie Revenge-Less since it's the best game the Dreamcast has to offer...

I was mostly referring to the voice acting :).

Have any of you played Super Runabout San Fransisco? Most would probably consider it a "bad game" but playing it always made me super happy. Why? Because it's ridiculously hilarious! Incredibly wonky physics, funny unlockable vehicles (you can ride a giant pig!) and going nuts on the great streets of San Fransisco. The game's actual missions are fun too, but I loved just messing around and seeing how crazy I could make my crashes. I had a replay saved on my VMU of police car continuously rolling down the hilly streets and the switching camera angles made it 10x funnier. Whenever I needed a good laugh I would watch the replay.

So yeah, it's obviously not one of the top Dreamcast games out there, but I had many fun-filled hours with Super Runabout!

Never played that one myself. Sounds pretty interesting though.

Play it with 3 other friends, and you might change your mind on that one.

Wasn't Evolution Worlds a pretty bad RPG?
