And the latest news...
ONGEKI - New SEGA's Arcade Game
Crossover between rhythm games and shmup
ONGEKI is a crossover between rhythm games and shmup (bullet hell games) from the team behind their popular maimai and Chunithm music games,. Players have to hit objects and avoid objects at the same time! These buttons are box shaped, like the BT SOUND VOLTEX button. Of the three buttons on both sides, the left button turns purple, the middle button is green, and the blue right button. On both ends of the left and right of the cabinet area there are also two large buttons on each side called the 'kabedon' button. In the middle of the play area there is a lever / joystick that can be moved to the left and right. The monitor screen is vertically oriented, and during gameplay, there is in addition to the dropdown note as in many other games, there are players also controlling the three characters that are at the bottom of the screen. These three characters must avoid the obstacles that come falling while the players press the notes that come to them.
Players can get characters in this game by getting cards in a cabinet separate from ONGEKI's own cabinet. The cards obtained in this machine then stay inserted in the card slot that is behind the lever in ONGEKI machine. The cards obtained are random, and the chance to get the desired card depends on the rarity of the card (gacha system). The good news, this cabinet can be used not only for ONGEKI, but also for maimai and CHUNITHM. We just wait for the features that will be implemented SEGA to integrate maimai and CHUNITHM with this machine.
Like maimai and CHUNITHM, ONGEKI will also have a collection of songs that include rhythm gamers from all backgrounds. Anime songs, vocaloid, BMS, songs from other SEGA games, as well as crossover songs from maimai and CHUNITHM will all be gradually added to the ONGEKI song library. In addition, for the original songs, on livestream, SEGA has officially stated that they will be working with among other M2U (DJMAX, Deemo, etc.) and Miyazaki Makoto (Hi-fi Days, Samakani !! from The Idolm @ ster Cinderella Girls).

Retro Review: Space Channel 5 (Sega Dreamcast/PS2)
--- Quote ---Excellent character, enemy and environment design and a stellar soundtrack make Space Channel 5 a unique experience.
While the game may only be an hour in length, I’d like to think of it as a really good soundtrack that you will want to listen to (and play along with) again and again.
At $50 in 2000, Space Channel 5 was a tough sell, but today the original game can be had for around $10 and is a must play for any SEGA fan.
