Real excited about this, 'This is England' was a brilliant movie I don't expect the series to have the same kind of impact or deeper emotional storyline behind it. I suspect it will mostly be the light hearted side of the movie but I'm happy to see more of the characters...

Granted it's a pretty thick accent and it isnt the queens... but if you can't understand that I pitty you...
America has some of the most nonsense accents out side of scottland and I can understand every accent you guys can throw at me... You should be able to understand this easy.
Now go and watch This is England the movie.

A lot of what they said was slang I am not familiar with. I am sure my inbred American folk probably have some slang you never heard either.
Oh well, let's just make fun of Aki's accent instead.

REALLY enjoying it.
Seen episode 1 and 2 so far... I love the grimy, dank and depressing 80's feel with all the mods and the melancholy mood of England in the Thatcher years where she single handedly pulled the UK down to the worst it has ever been since world war 2.
I cannot get enough of shows and movies that can have serious themes and touching moods but also really fucking funny and done well. The biker gang is priceless.

I guess Tom Harper is directing the first 2 eps, the 3 and 4 will be by Shane Meadows. Exciting.
Going to edit the post with downloads to the eps. Most people can't see it, Europe is like 1000 miles away.

Wow the ending was intense and not what I had expected would happen.
My heart was pounding in the last 20 minutes.
I really hope they keep revisiting thie cast but in different time periods, This is Englad '90 for example to see what happens to the gang.

That was so good... SOO GOOD.
I like how imperfect and real all the characters are, I like how dirty and 80s everything looks.... I like how they can make it funny 1 minuite, sad another and dreadful the next.
Best thing on TV in years... Shame its over. WANT MORE!

I heard that MTV is going to make an Americanized version of Inbetweeners.
Is this good?

The Inbetweeners is already pretty American in terms of humor, I thought. I mean, sure they have accents,but the subject matter reminds me of 'American Pie' only funny.
The show, Inbetweeners, is actually shown in Mexico on MTV. In America its ran by BBC America.
I doubt that the show will be re-done for America. They did a NBC American pilot for The IT Crowd, never made it on air :(

So glad that American remake of Spaced was scrapped... Jesus christ.
Did anyone see the American pilot of Red Dwarf?... Boy oh boy did they miss the humour by 100 miles.
Thankfully I don't think they will even attempt to make an American Peepshow or League of Gentlemen.
I dont know why they feel the need to remake things...
